We came to Seonbong Sandeomi Ori for a weekday family dinner with our baby. I'd heard it was a well-known duck restaurant in Yongin, but this was our first time visiting!! It's close to Yeokbuk-dong, parking was easy, and the meal was really satisfying.
Where is Seonbong Sandeomi Ori, and is there parking?
Seonbong Sandeomi Ori is located at 102-3 Seongsan-ro, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, and is open daily from 11:00 to 21:00. There's a large parking lot right in front of the building, so parking is easy — a good spot for family gatherings too.

- Large parking lot right in front of the building!

We went on a weekday late evening and there was even a group having a gathering!! We visited with our baby, and baby chairs were available!! They even warmed up the baby food for us, which we really appreciated while eating together.

The parking lot is spacious enough that even a new driver should be fine visiting. It's close to Yongin City Hall too, so it apparently gets fairly busy even on weekday lunches, and there's a wait on weekends — quite the well-known duck restaurant in Yongin.

Takeout is available too, so I'd like to try that next time!! The duck bulgogi is served as a wrap-rice dish, so it felt like eating something healthy~ I heard the perilla duck soup here is delicious, so we ordered that too as an add-on haha.

Seating and ordering: group tables and table tablets
Seonbong Sandeomi Ori has spacious seating, and the inner area works like group seating, so it seems like a good spot for a company dinner too!! There were three of us, and since it was late evening, we were told to sit wherever felt comfortable.

Once seated, ordering through the table-side tablet was convenient, and there was guidance posted about review events and how to best enjoy the meal! The staff were also very kind, which made the whole meal comfortable at Seonbong Sandeomi Ori.
Seonbong Sandeomi Ori menu and what two people order

We ordered the duck bulgogi wrap rice for two, one perilla duck soup, and rice! The wrap rice came with unlimited wrap vegetable refills, and you could choose between spicy sauce or soy sauce for the duck bulgogi. We weren't in the mood for spicy today, so we went with soy sauce duck bulgogi!!

They serve a health tea brewed from buckwheat and Jerusalem artichoke — a nice touch at this well-known Yongin duck restaurant!! It felt like they really thought about their guests, which made me like the place even more.

The basic side dishes that come with the duck bulgogi order were a nice, well-balanced spread, and you can grab extra side dishes from the self-service bar!!! The wrap vegetables were fresh too — such a great spot in Yongin.

Self-service bar and the house-ground perilla-seed sauce
The self-service bar was kept clean and hygienic too~ Apparently at Seonbong Sandeomi Ori they grind their own perilla seeds every week to make the sauce, and maybe that's why the perilla sauce and the perilla duck soup were so nutty and delicious. That extra care made me like it even more.
The duck bulgogi comes as thin slices of duck tossed with chives, onion, mushrooms, and soy sauce seasoning, piled up like a mountain (hence "sandeomi," mountain-pile). It wasn't a heavy or overpowering flavor, so it felt like a healthy Korean dish!! Since the wrap vegetables were unlimited, I kept wrapping and eating. There's also cheongyang chili peppers and garlic at the self-service bar!

How big is the piled-high duck bulgogi, and how do you grill it?
True to its name, the duck bulgogi came piled up like an actual mountain — the portion was seriously huge! Orders start from 2 servings, and one menu item per person is the standard haha.

The heat was strong too, so the meat cooked quickly, which was great~ The duck bulgogi was really tender, making it a good family gathering spot where kids can eat along too.

At first they put the meat on the grill for you, and after that you just add and grill the rest yourself!! It cooks faster than you'd expect, so I turned the heat down a bit while grilling.

The duck bulgogi is delicious wrapped in lettuce and perilla leaves like this, and dipping it into the special perilla sauce was also a real treat!!

Perilla-seed duck soup: 5,000 won as an add-on, 10,000 won at lunch
And then the perilla duck soup we added on, for ₩5,000!! We ordered it as an add-on menu, but it's sold as a ₩10,000 lunch special. Places that serve perilla duck soup aren't common, so I always order it when it's available — it felt like a nourishing tonic dish, and I liked it. Since it's only ₩5,000 as an add-on when you order the mountain-pile duck bulgogi, I think I'll get it every time I come haha.

We went on a whim on a weekday evening and came back very satisfied — such a great duck restaurant in Yongin!! If you're looking for a good meat restaurant in Yeokbuk-dong, I highly recommend Seonbong Sandeomi Ori!!
