I was hoping for crisp, clear October weather, but it's still hot like summer. We finally had a weekend free for a date, so I searched for places to visit in Suwon and found a big bakery café called Orange Bagel. Let's go!
Orange Bagel opening hours and parking in Suwon
Orange Bagel is open every day from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with last order at 8:30 p.m. Parking is free, and groups and takeout are both welcome.

There's a waiting area, or just a spot to rest for a moment, set up in front of the shop.
Orange Bagel menu and prices

The orange coffees at this Suwon bakery café are the Orange Americano (₩7,000), Orange Breeze (₩7,500), Orange Latte (₩7,500) and Orange Bianco (₩8,500). Besides the orange coffees there were plenty of other coffee options, and you can choose your beans. Switching to decaf is +₩500.

Bottled drinks were on sale as well, not just the made-to-order ones.
The sandwiches looked delicious: salmon bagel ₩11,500, jambon beurre ₩9,500, sweet pumpkin ₩7,600, cinnamon ₩6,300 and chestnut cream ₩8,500. The sandwiches and the cream-filled bagels were kept in the fridge. As you'd expect from a big Suwon bakery café, the variety of bagels was huge.
How many kinds of bagels does Orange Bagel have?
Even at a glance, the number of bagels is staggering. What makes Orange Bagel one of Suwon's famous spots is its story: 100% orange juice with not a drop of water added, flour from France and Canada, and orange zest too! Hearing that it's made only with good ingredients makes it even more trustworthy.

The moment we walked into this big Suwon bakery café, we were overwhelmed by all those bagels.

From the signature orange bagel to bagels with all kinds of toppings and fillings, the variety is real, and browsing them one by one was a lot of fun. They all looked delicious, so I agonized over what to pick for ages.

The bagel piled with olives looked so good, and so did the corn cream bagel topped with corn cream and kernels. (I can't eat that much, so I just wanted a bite of each, haha...) With this many bagels and such a pretty café, I think it's worth a visit if you're still deciding on a date course in Suwon.

With so many kinds of bagels, I wondered if the prices would be a bit steep, but the prices at this big Suwon bakery café were more reasonable than I expected, so it's easy to pick out several. It's a great place to enjoy all sorts of breads and bakery items together.
First, I'll pick my all-time favorite, the scallion cream cheese bagel, which never disappoints. How can it look so tasty?! 🤤

Orange Bagel is also huge and pleasant inside, so it was nice to pick out bread and spend time at a leisurely pace. They sell all sorts of merchandise besides bagels too, so browsing was fun.

Between choosing bread and all there is to look at, it isn't just a place to grab coffee and bread. It's enjoyable as a space in itself, so I thought it would be a nice casual stop during a trip to Suwon.

You can pick up straws, knives and forks here.
Weekend date order for two: was ₩29,400 worth it?

- Orange Americano ₩7,000
- Decaf vanilla latte ₩7,000
- Scallion cream bacon ₩8,500
- Laugen butter ₩6,900
- Total ₩29,400

Orange Americano and decaf vanilla latte
The Orange Americano, Orange Bagel's signature drink, is espresso mixed with orange juice. It's a combination I don't usually come across, so I was curious and ordered it, and the fresh orange aroma and the bitterness of the coffee went together better than I expected.
The vanilla latte was pleasantly sweet and smooth, and suited my taste perfectly. If you like sweet coffee, it's totally your thing.

Scallion cream bacon and Laugen butter bagels
The scallion cream bacon bagel caught my eye first because it was generously stuffed with cream cheese. The sharp, fragrant scallion plus salty bacon is a can't-go-wrong combo, and with thick, rich cream cheese on top, it's simply the perfect combination.
The Laugen butter bagel was chewy outside with a slightly salty edge, and the butter inside gave it a rich, nutty flavor. The plain Laugen bagel and the strong butter went well together, which made it ideal with coffee.
What are the 2nd-floor seats at Orange Bagel like?
Up on the 2nd floor of Orange Bagel, there are seats by big windows that get lots of sun.

There were big tables in the middle. They looked great for group visits and perfectly fine for studying too.

The colorful tones and stylish interior stood out, and it felt like photos would turn out pretty wherever you shoot.

Above all, the space is so large that even with plenty of people you can stay comfortably and without feeling cramped, which I really liked.

Looking at the decorative props dotted around was fun too. The café is so big and colorful that it looked great for visiting with kids.
Orange Bagel's 3rd-floor terrace: when is it best to sit outside?

There's a 3rd floor too, so let's go up and take a look. There was a mirror on the way up, so I took a photo.

Coming up to the 3rd floor of Orange Bagel, the open view and the wide terrace really stand out. In the daytime the sun was too blazing to sit there, but it seemed nice once the sun goes down and it gets cool in the evening. With lights on at night, I bet the mood would be great. The 3rd-floor terrace had a ridiculous number of tables as well. No wonder it's a big Suwon bakery café.. haha
Oven warming and self-service takeout packing
Orange Bagel also has an oven where you can warm up your bagel. It's worth quickly reading the list of bagels that can't go in the oven and the precautions for using it.
You can pack leftover bagels yourself to take home. While you're there, I think it would be good to buy a few kinds and keep them in the freezer to eat over time.
Verdict: is Orange Bagel a good date spot in Suwon?
I recommend Orange Bagel as a place to visit in Suwon. If you're out in Suwon, this big bakery café is worth a stop at least once. I liked that the space is large enough to relax in and parking is easy, so you can visit without any stress.
You can try many kinds of bagels as well as orange coffee, so I especially recommend it to people who love bread and coffee. There are plenty of photo-friendly spots too, so it's a great place for a date or an outing in Suwon. If you're looking for a big bakery café with a nice atmosphere in Suwon, Orange Bagel is worth a visit.
