Gwacheon hair salon Aujua Aquavere treatment for dry hair: One & Only

As the cold wind starts blowing, my hair keeps getting drier and frizzier... ㅠ I was so stressed out every morning drying my tangled, frizzy hair that I went off to get a clinic treatment.

The place I visited was One & Only Hair Gwacheon Government Complex Station, a hair salon in Gwacheon! It was recommended by people around me, and this time I finally went to check it out myself :)

Where is One & Only Hair Gwacheon Government Complex Station, and what is the salon like?

One & Only Hair is located on the basement level of the Hanyang Sujain officetel. It's 191m from Exit 1 of Gwacheon Government Complex Station.

It's close to both Line 4's Gwacheon Government Complex Station and a bus stop, so it's convenient by public transit, and if you drive, you can park in the building!

Since it's a newly built building, it felt clean, and even though it's on the basement level, it's floor-to-ceiling glass, so it had a bright, open feel,

and inside it was really spacious and comfortable — plus I loved that you barely smell the usual perm or dye chemical smell that most salons have.

One designer per client: how this Gwacheon hair salon works

One & Only Hair operates on a 1:1 designer-responsible system.

Usually when you visit a salon, the designer only handles the main treatment while assistants help with the in-between steps and shampooing, but here one designer personally handled everything from start to finish, so I could trust the process even more.

I was treated by Head Designer Minjeong, and she carefully handled every step from the clinic to the cut!

With the Aujua clinic, you can choose customized care from various lines depending on your hair concerns and current condition — since my hair was overall dry and lacking moisture from perm and color damage, we went with the Aquavere line after consultation.

What happens during the Aujua (Aujua Hair Care) Aquavere clinic

First, it started with a thorough shampoo of my scalp and hair.

After letting it sit for a bit, she used a wide-tooth comb to untangle the knots section by section, and somehow my hair already felt a little more filled-in even before the actual clinic started?!!

After that, she applied the Aujua products in order, but instead of rinsing after each step, it was a layering method where the products build up on the hair for care.

Head Designer Minjeong divided my hair into sections, applied the products generously, and handled them carefully, so I could already feel the softness kicking in before the clinic was even done, haha.

During the treatment they also brought out drinks and a light snack, so I could relax through the whole process,

and the last part of the care was done in a massage chair! After sitting for so long, finishing up in the massage chair felt great — even my body loosened up.

After the clinic, I also got a layered cut. I'd had my hair cut elsewhere before and still had a bit of perm left in it, but she trimmed the overall line while keeping as much length as possible, which I was really happy with. For reference, the clinic plus layered cut took about 2 hours total!

It's a shame I didn't get a before photo, because my hair had been completely puffed up and frizzy — but after the clinic and cut, it was calm and settled all over, and the softness when I touched it was on a totally different level..!!

What satisfied me most was the hold! I usually get salon clinics fairly often, and in a lot of cases the hair is only soft right after the treatment and goes back to normal within a few days,

but this time, about a week later, my hair is still soft and settled, so I'm genuinely happy with it!!
