After-work pho and cream shrimp in Jeongja-dong, Bundang: Kkamon

I had dinner after work with a friend at Kkamon, a pho restaurant in Bundang that I loved so much I had to write about it!

Where is Kkamon Bundang Jeongja, and what are the hours?

Kkamon (CAMON) Bundang Jeongja Direct Store is at 121 Jeongjail-ro, 1st floor C-02, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Hours are weekdays 10:00–23:00, weekends 11:00–23:00.

To cut to the chase — every single dish we ordered that day was delicious! Usually when you order several dishes, at least one falls a bit short, but here, everything satisfied across the board.

What does the restaurant feel like inside?

The moment I stepped into Kkamon Bundang Jeongja, the interior was the first thing that caught my eye! The whole place has a strong Vietnamese-local feel, so instead of just feeling like I'd come to eat, I felt like I was on a trip.

There were Vietnamese-style props and decor touches throughout, which made the space itself feel quite exotic and full of atmosphere.

The food arrived!

Seafood fried rice

Kkamon's seafood fried rice had rice grains stir-fried nice and fluffy, which I really liked. Personally, fried rice can be a letdown if the rice is too mushy or oversalted, but this had seafood mixed in too, adding texture with every bite, and the seasoning was just right — the kind of flavor that keeps you coming back for more!

It also paired really well eaten alongside the pho broth. Pho alone can feel a little lacking, but ordering fried rice to share alongside it made for a perfect meal combo.

Kkamon pho

Kkamon pho (Vietnamese rice noodle soup) had a broth that was clean but with a subtle depth of flavor. With pho, the broth is the first thing you notice, and here the noodles slid down smoothly too, plus the brisket made it filling. What stood out especially was that the broth wasn't too intense — it actually tasted better the more I ate, compared to the first few spoonfuls.

Pho's signature spice aroma can be too strong for some people, but when I ate this it wasn't overwhelming at all, so I could enjoy it comfortably. The brisket, noodles, and broth together made a great combo, and between bites I kept sipping the broth until before I knew it, the bowl was nearly empty.

⭐️Cream shrimp⭐️

Kkamon's cream shrimp had plump shrimp that gave a great texture in the first bite, and the creamy sauce coating them was smooth and delicious. You might expect something called "cream" to get greasy after a few pieces, but this had a fresh, bright taste, so it wasn't greasy at all.

Between lighter dishes like pho and fried rice, having a piece of cream shrimp actually made for a great combo. If you like shrimp, I'd recommend ordering it as a side dish!

What order tasted best?

We ordered all three dishes together that day, and eating them in rotation — brisket pho → seafood fried rice → cream shrimp — turned out to be the tastiest way.

Everything we ordered that day was delicious, so next time I'd like to try other menu items one by one. It had been a while since I'd had Vietnamese food, and Kkamon Bundang Jeongja satisfied me on both taste and atmosphere. If you're near Jeongja Station looking for a good pho or Vietnamese restaurant, I'd recommend ordering several dishes and sharing them like I did :)
