How to walk to Roaster Burger from Jeongja Station, and where to park

I went to Roaster Burger, known for great value among Jeongja-dong burger spots!!

It's close enough to the station that it takes less than 10 minutes on foot from Jeongja Station Exit 3, and since it's right in the middle of Jeongja-dong's restaurant row, there's plenty to do nearby — great for hopping over to a cute café after the meal.

I drove there, and parking was easy with a generous time allowance, so it made for a relaxed date.

Inside Roaster Burger: is it comfortable for solo diners?

Roaster Burger is a small, cozy burger place. Unlike typical burger joints, it has a small café-like feel that made me comfortable, and there's a bar-style counter on one side, so it looked like a good spot to come eat alone for lunch or dinner.

And you know how pretty the streets of Jeongja-dong are? There were also a few tables on the outdoor terrace so you can eat while soaking in the scenery.

The self-service corner had plenty of sauces like hot sauce and ketchup, easy to grab yourself.

Roaster Burger, a Jeongja-dong burger spot, hand-shapes its patties every day. These days a lot of places call themselves 'handmade burgers' but actually bring in patties made elsewhere — here, it looked like the owner really prepares and shapes the meat themselves.

Roaster Burger's menu and how the QR ordering works

There was a menu board laid out so you could see everything at a glance, which made choosing easy. Ordering was done via QR code on your phone.

Roaster Burger doesn't just sell burgers — they also sell pizza. First off, there are various burger set menus like avocado, white whole shrimp, and grilled chicken burger, so you can order to your taste.

Pizza at a burger place? So surprising — I saw a lot of the classic flavors like cheese, pepperoni, and potato.

Among the side menu, what caught my eye most was fries topped with patty. I've had that at another restaurant before and remember it being great value and delicious, so I was happy to see it here too and wanted to try it.

These days people often pair burgers with beer, called 'ham-maek,' and Roaster Burger also has draft beers like pilsner and weizen.

By the way, if you order a set menu, you can customize your own burger with plenty of options. You can add whatever you want — patty, cheese, tomato — and choose your drink and side menu too.

We ordered zero-sugar cola for both sets' drinks.

Since it's a handmade burger, it took a little while after ordering for the food to come out. Still, we didn't wait too long — about 10 minutes or so.

The set comes with the avocado burger and fries, and unlike other places, the fries came with sauce drizzled on top.

How big is Roaster Burger's avocado burger, and how does it taste?

Can you see the size of the burger? It was huge, packed with so much stuff that it was quite tall.

Looking closely, it seemed to have more than half an avocado inside, plus thick bacon, cheese, a beef patty, and vegetables — really generous.

The first thing I thought after taking a bite was that the bun was really delicious. Typical handmade burgers often have buns so soft they practically melt in your mouth, but this one had a nice chewy texture like ciabatta. That's why it paired so well with the rich, fatty taste of the beef patty and avocado.

The fries might taste the same as anywhere else on their own, but with the sauce drizzled on top, they had a distinctive flavor that set them apart from other places. The spicy sauce on top paired even better than ketchup would have.

The handmade burger was so big I ended up having to use a knife and fork later on ^^ Eating it that way felt kind of fancy, which I liked.

The double cheeseburger my husband ordered

My husband ordered the classic double cheeseburger.

Double cheeseburger with two patties

It has two kinds of cheese and two patties inside, so it looked really filling.

My husband described it as 'solidly classic,' and once I tried it I understood what he meant — two juicy patties plus cheese fill your mouth with a flavor that stands out. And the sauce was a little spicy, which kept it from feeling too greasy, which I liked.

31,500 won for two: is Roaster Burger worth it?

We walked out full from handmade burgers and it only came to ₩31,500 — isn't that great value, really? A lot of places charge close to ₩40,000 for two people to eat properly, but here the taste, portion, and atmosphere were all satisfying.

I sometimes have to go to Jeongja Station for work, and I enjoyed the meal so much that I'm already thinking about going back alone for lunch sometime ^^
