Paju bar with dried pollack and cinnamon Kozel Dark: Long Time No See

In short

Long Time No See Yadang Branch is a self-pour tap beer and pizza pub on the second floor of the Lotte Cinema (former CGV) building, a 5-minute walk from Yadang Station in Paju, Gyeonggi. On this visit the table shared meoktae (dried pollack) at 13,900 won with a Kozel Dark rimmed in cinnamon, while the designated driver made sparkling water with syrups from the Free Zone. Because a wristband tag lets each person pour whatever beer they want and as much as they want, Long Time No See suits groups where everyone drinks differently.

Right now, tables that arrive before 19:00 get a free injeolmi (rice cake powder) ice cream!! Vanilla ice cream topped with nutty injeolmi powder and bean powder...

What to order after three visits: pizza, spicy hangover pasta, dried pollack

There's a kiosk with set menus. Based on my food-data from 2-3 visits here for work dinners and friend gatherings... this place is a snack-menu gem. The pizzas are generally all good, and if you like spicy food, the spicy hangover-cure pasta! If you like dry snacks, I recommend the dried pollack!

What the room feels like and when it fills up

Here's a look at the interior. It looks spacious, but it fills up fast because so many groups come.

Our meeting wasn't a coincidence... total vibe... ><

Lit-up interior atmosphere after sunset

When I came for a second round after sunset, the atmosphere was incredible. It seems like it hits full capacity around 7-8pm no matter what day it is. Lots of company dinners, groups of 3-4 friends, and dates too.

How the wristband tag self-pour beer taps work

The beer machines are insane, my heart was already racing the moment I walked in.

The system at Long Time No See is like a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna) — you pick the beer machine you want, tag your wristband, and pour your own beer.

Free Zone stocked with bottled water and hetgae-su
Free Zone corner with parmesan cheese and hot sauce

Inside the Free Zone: water, hetgae tea, syrups and an ice maker

This is the Free Zone. There's bottled water and hetgae-su (hangover-relief drink) available. And for pizza eaters, there's parmesan cheese and hot sauce. The syrups on the right are great mixed into sparkling water for non-drinkers..!! Oh, and there's an ice maker in the Free Zone too!! If you like really cold water, add ice in there.

Green grape, lemon, and grapefruit syrups for mixing into sparkling water

What kind of genius touch is this... legendary.

Since I drove that day, I mixed sparkling water with green grape, lemon, and grapefruit syrups, a bit of each. And for soju lovers, there's a soju and Cass beer machine too~

Ask for cinnamon on your Kozel Dark

Kozel Dark, my stylish companion's favorite! When you ask the staff, they bring out a cinnamon shaker and dust the rim of the glass with it.

If you love dark beer, don't forget to ask for this treatment. The difference it makes is huge, and I totally fell for Long Time No See's sense of style over this...!!

Being able to pour and taste as many different drinks as you want, in whatever amount you want, is such a big advantage. Honestly, when you go out for a group dinner or drinks with friends, everyone usually has different tastes but it's hard to order many different things, so people just settle on one. Here, though, you can pour whichever beer you want from a huge lineup, in whatever amount you like, which is amazing.

Dried pollack at 13,900 won, and the sauce that makes it

Ta-da, as dry-snack lovers we ordered the dried pollack.

Nuts served alongside the dried pollack

But it doesn't just come with pollack — chocolate-looking nuts came alongside it too?!

Mayonnaise-soy sauce dip served with the dried pollack

That sauce especially is so good. It's kind of mayonnaise-and-soy-sauce-ish and pairs really well with the pollack haha.

Table with the dried pollack snack and drinks

Today I had drinks with my stylish companion to celebrate my mom's visit to Paju... but since I was on driving duty, I had sparkling water instead....ㅠㅠㅠ

The free popcorn that keeps the table busy

The default snack, popcorn, is a hidden gem

Complimentary popcorn snack

This is also part of why I love Long Time No See. The complimentary popcorn here is genuinely delicious. Munching on that savory, salty popcorn makes the beer go down smoothly... and drinking the beer makes your hand reach for the popcorn again. Best of all, they don't hold back on refills.

Letting guests scoop popcorn anytime just makes you drink even more beer... hehe.
