Andover is a Western restaurant on the Baekhyeon-dong street in Pangyo with an outdoor terrace. To really enjoy the autumn weather you end up searching for cafés with outdoor terraces, and the Baekhyeon-dong street in Pangyo has been so great to visit lately. That's how I found Andover!

Andover puts fresh flowers on every table, which is such a lovely touch — a really charming Western restaurant in Pangyo. I got there around 6pm just as the sunset was fading, and a big group wanting wine showed up, so I ended up moving indoors instead of sitting outside ^^; But don't be disappointed yet.

Andover is packed with gorgeous seating indoors too. The reviews were all so good I was curious, and I ended up completely falling for Andover's charm myself.

From the European-feeling interior to the owner's warm hospitality, Andover gives off that 'this place is different' kind of closeness at its best.

With a grocery fridge like this, you just want to browse and try one of everything, right?

Andover's water and how to order

This Pangyo brunch spot doesn't serve plain bottled water — the water has a herbal scent. I love drinking lemon water too, and Andover's water was that kind of fresh, salad-tasting water.

Just looking at the water bottle feels refreshing, doesn't it? Haha. At Andover, you order with the QR code sitting at your table.

Warm hibiscus tea while waiting for a friend

The owner of Andover brought out warm hibiscus tea for me while I waited. I'd arranged to meet my friend at 5:30, but she was running late because of a hospital visit, so while I was waiting, the owner asked if I'd like a coffee — then, realizing caffeine might be too much in the evening, brought out this pretty, tangy, delicious warm hibiscus tea instead. My heart was already sold — I'm a regular now, lol.

Andover also sells practical items directly, like aprons and shopping bags, and there was even a signed flower wreath from an actor who's been in a movie with a million? Ten million?? admissions. Finding a Western brunch restaurant this full of thoughtful touches made me so happy~~

How do the lasagna and jambon cream pasta taste at Andover?

At Andover I ordered the signature lasagna and the jambon cream pasta (₩25,000). There were so many tempting menu items, but after much deliberation I went with these two! The jambon cream pasta had pistachios in it, which felt like a real delicacy to me.

With lasagna, as you know, the layered ingredients need to hit that balance of flavor and harmony, and Andover's lasagna nailed it perfectly. Now I'm curious about the cod gratin too, and the cold pasta looked delicious~~~

Portions at Andover are bigger than expected, so if two people come, one main plus one salad is plenty. I got greedy and ordered two high-calorie dishes, so I ended up leaving some food behind;; oh dear. Guess the day's craving for conversation beat out the craving for food, lol.

Why the whole tomato marinade salad is best ordered at lunch

Andover's salad — whole tomato marinade (₩15,000) — is ricotta cheese topped with basil pesto and marinated whole tomatoes. It's so pretty you almost hesitate to eat it.

This healthy, delicious tomato marinade salad was sold out on the evening I visited, so if you want to try it, go for lunch or brunch rather than dinner!!

Polara Green Mandarino Soda

For a drink I ordered the green Polara Green Mandarino Soda because I liked the color. I wondered what was in it, and it turned out to be mandarin — super refreshing and tangy, packed with vitamins like kalamansi.

Andover first opened in the Dongnam district of Cheongju in 2023. Building on the experience and customer trust gained there, it has since moved to Bundang, Pangyo, where it now runs both a restaurant and a market together.
