Jongdal Sudatteul is a farmhouse-style Korean restaurant serving a 13-dish set meal in Gujwa-eup, Jeju. The Jeju hanjeongsik (Korean set meal) came with dombegogi (steamed pork slices), abalone jang, grilled hairtail, braised mackerel with aged kimchi and seafood hot pot, plus a self-serve bar where soy sauce marinated crab and bracken fern were refillable — I went back for the bracken fern twice. A receipt review event even got me a free Gujwa carrot juice, making it a generous way to taste Jeju's home cooking.
Onjeong Jorim Jeju Hyeopjae Branch is a Korean restaurant right in front of Hyeopjae Beach in Jeju, Jeju, specializing in Jeju manong (garlic) hairtail stew. The writer visited at the 10am opening time for a breakfast-lunch with a baby before beach swimming, and the rich garlic sauce was so good with rice that they ordered an extra bowl. The sauce runs fairly spicy, so families with kids may prefer the grilled whole hairtail or grilled mackerel instead.
Dixie's is a Southern American soul food restaurant on Gwandeok-ro 8-gil near Dongmun Market in Jeju City. Visiting with her husband for dinner, the writer ordered the Nashville hot chicken basket (₩28,900) and the braised pork rice bowl (₩15,900), finding the chicken all boneless with a crispy-outside-juicy-inside texture and the bowl closer to taco flavors than heavy spice. The public parking lot right across the street made this visit especially easy.

Visiting on a rainy Sunday afternoon at 4:30 with kids, the writer spent 2 hours moving through media art zones, a coloring-to-screen experience, floor touch games, and a Bread Barbershop themed space. Verdict: with more time, 3 hours is easy to fill, making it a solid backup for rainy days in Jeju.
Tamra Hansang is a Korean restaurant near Olle Market in Seogwipo, Jeju, serving local dishes like braised cutlassfish, grilled cutlassfish, and dombe pork as full table spreads. The braised cutlassfish set for two (₩75,000) came with 8 side dishes, grilled pork belly, fried cutlassfish, and fresh sashimi of sweet shrimp, cutlassfish, mackerel, and flounder all at once. It's a great fit for travelers who want fish stew, meat, and sashimi all in a single meal.
Hwadeogeuro Gan Godeungeo Bansang Jeju Iho Tewoo Branch is a wood-fired grilled fish restaurant near Iho Tewoo Wooden Horse Lighthouse and Shilla Stay Iho Tewoo in Jeju. After watching the sunset at the lighthouse, the writer ordered the wood-fired mackerel set and the imyeonsu (Atka mackerel) grilled set, plus unlimited fried eggs and tteokbokki from the self-serve bar. The imyeonsu grilled fish, with its crispy skin and moist flesh, was so good the writer wants to come back 200%.
Heukdonsibaekdonmyeon Shinhwa World Branch is a Jeju black pork restaurant in Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo, about 10 minutes by car from Shinhwa World. The black pork geungogi (thick-cut meat) set for two (600g, ₩66,000) came pre-grilled by the owner himself, with pork neck, jowl, belly and skin dipped alternately in salt and maeljeot (fermented anchovy sauce). With no grilling to worry about and the belly's melt-in-the-mouth texture intact, it's a solid black pork pick near Shinhwa World.
Figure Museum Jeju is an indoor figure exhibition hall in Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo, Jeju. Booking pre-sale discount tickets, a dad and child toured the life-size Marvel and DC figures on the 1st floor of the main hall, the anime and art toy section on the 2nd floor, and the annex. It was a foolproof indoor course on an island where weather can be unpredictable.
Marijoa Seogwipo Jungmun Branch is a horse meat restaurant near Jungmun Tourist Complex in Seogwipo, Jeju, certified by the Jeju Provincial Government's Livestock Policy Division as a specialty horse meat retailer. A couple ordered the Joa Course at ₩39,000 for two and worked through horse extract, three kinds of sushi, horse yukhoe, horse sashimi, braised horse ribs, horse cutlet, grilled horse, and shabu-shabu. No trace of the smell they worried about, everything tasted clean, and the horse yukhoe was the standout.

Myeonjumak Jeju Main Branch is a noodle restaurant in Jocheon-eup, Jeju, near Eco Land and the Saryeoni Forest Path. The writer ordered meat bibim guksu, anchovy guksu, mul mandu, and a bottle of Jeju makgeolli — the bibim guksu came generously topped with six pieces of meat for ₩10,000, though the anchovy guksu broth arrived lukewarm and had to be reheated on request. With plenty of parking, baby chairs, and family amenities, it's a solid budget-friendly stop for traveling families.
