The visit centered on handmade patbingsu (shaved ice with red bean) served in a ttukbaegi (earthenware pot) and a thick, slow-simmered date tea from Yeopjipnamu, alternating between the cold dessert and the warm tea. With honest, non-artificial red bean sweetness instead of sugary shortcuts, it's a good stop after a walk on Pyoseon Beach.
Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch is a black pork charcoal BBQ restaurant in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju City. On the last night of a Jeju trip, the writer ordered a plate of nanchuk matdon (600g) and Pork Rice, loved the staff-grilled tabletop service over 300-degree charcoal and the scallion salad that got refilled, all inside a retro old-diner-style interior with individual charcoal braziers. A great last meal before flying out of Jeju.
Seongsan Bada Punggyeong Jeju Seongsan Ilchulbong Branch is a seafood restaurant near Seongsan Ilchulbong in Seogwipo, Jeju. On a day of fierce wind, the writer parked right in front of the restaurant and ordered two portions of bada pungyeong jorim (ocean-view braised cutlassfish) at ₩19,500, plus a free whole grilled cutlassfish that staff deboned tableside, then went back twice for the self-serve seaweed soup. It's easy to see why this spot has held its reputation as a top cutlassfish restaurant near Seongsan for years.
Jejju City Hall Branch is a takeout lunch box, rice bowl, and sushi restaurant near Jeju City Hall, close to Jeju Airport, Jeju. Packing the Seogwipo lunch box and half-and-half shrimp sushi to eat at home, the reviewer found the set-up clean, with a spicy webfoot octopus rice bowl bundled in alongside sushi, plus thick, springy salmon and shrimp. Each item comes packed as its own lunch box, which looked handy for a picnic or for sharing with a few people.

Visited at sunset, the writer ordered the black pork assorted set (neck, belly, skirt meat) plus a blue crab doenjang stew, and found the aged meat juicy with no gamey smell. With ocean-view seats and a large parking lot, it's especially good for family trips with kids.
Handam Guksu Gwakji Aewol Branch is an ocean-view pork noodle restaurant on the Aewol coastal road in Jeju. The writer ordered three dishes — rich bone broth pork noodles, dongchimi bibim noodles, and pork belly dombe naengsuyuk — and ate them looking out through the floor-to-ceiling windows at the sea, with a well-balanced self-serve side dish counter to round things out. On a quiet weekday there was no wait at all.
