Frozen-thawed dol hareubang madeleines at Jeju duty free: Today Jeju

Today Jeju is a dol hareubang-shaped dessert shop on the 1st floor of Shilla Duty Free in Jeju City. The writer bought the signature Harubangne 8-flavor set (₩28,200), froze it, then thawed it the next day — strawberry leaned more bready, but chocolate, Earl Grey, matcha and hallabong were addictive. Today Jeju's Harubangne sets are a solid pick for Jeju souvenirs or gifts.

Everyone loved the thickness and juiciness of the meat, and baby chairs plus reservations made it easy with kids along.

Patbingsu in a ttukbaegi and date tea at 7 Budu, a Pyoseon café

7 Budu is a wood-toned dessert café near Dangpo Harbor in Pyoseon, Seogwipo, Jeju. The visit centered on handmade patbingsu (shaved ice with red bean) served in a ttukbaegi (earthenware pot) and a thick, slow-simmered date tea from Yeopjipnamu, alternating between the cold dessert and the warm tea. With honest, non-artificial red bean sweetness instead of sugary shortcuts, it's a good stop after a walk on Pyoseon Beach.
