I added pork neck to the 25,000 won lunch special and enjoyed staff-grilled pork with doenjang-jjigae and bibim-guksu. Verdict: the rice, kimchi, and black pork combination was especially unforgettable!

Handam Guksu Gwakji Aewol Branch is a Korean restaurant right in front of Handam Beach in Aewol, Jeju, with a floor-to-ceiling glass wall facing the sea. Visited around 11am for brunch, the writer had bean-sprout beef bone broth pork noodles, an extra-large dongchimi bibim noodles, and handmade pork tteokgalbi, and loved the clean, rich broth and thin noodles. A spot worth recommending if you want both the view and the noodles on your Aewol itinerary.

Dolgyeok Hanwoo is a Jeju-style garlic hanwoo (Korean beef) rib restaurant near Jeju Airport, in Yeondong, Jeju City. The order was two servings of 1++ manong (garlic) galbisal at ₩27,000 per 100g, black pork cubed pork jowl (180g, ₩22,000), and mustard leaf kimchi bibim noodles (₩10,000), served with a house soy sauce, kimchi, and a complimentary seaweed soup. The thick-cut pork jowl paired with the mustard kimchi noodles was the standout combo for cutting through the richness after the beef.
Donsahyang Olle Market Main Branch is a Seogwipo black pork restaurant right next to Jeju Olle Market. After parking at the market's public lot and browsing the stalls, the writer ordered whole grilled black pork belly, draft beer, and Cheonsa cheese kimchi fried rice, with staff grilling the thick cuts tableside. Dipping the pork in nothing but Maldon salt from the self-serve bar was the best combination of the night.
Suragan Tteokbang is an omegi-tteok (millet rice cake) shop on Noyeon-ro in Jeju City, Jeju. A box of 20 pieces was reserved by phone and picked up on the last day of a trip, frozen right away, then moved to the fridge an hour before eating to enjoy it cold. Chewy glutinous rice and unsweetened whole red bean filling made it a satisfying gift to bring home.

Our family of five ordered the 59,000-won large braised-fish set and enjoyed the included whole grilled cutlassfish, unlimited seaweed soup, and children’s tableware. Verdict: a very filling, kid-friendly family lunch with a hilarious seaweed Everest finale.
Gluttony Coffee is a coffee and dessert café about 15 minutes by car from Jeju Airport in Jeju. Before returning our rental car, we enjoyed Summer Latte, Gluttony Latte, and Oreo chocolate cake with easy parking and window seats. A sweet, relaxing way to finish a Jeju trip.
Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch is a black pork barbecue restaurant in Jeju, Jeju. On my first meal of the trip, I tried Nanchukmatdon black pork in four combinations with mel braise, mel, and scallions; the third combination was unforgettable. Verdict: a seriously satisfying first stop in Jeju.
