Gimbap restaurant in Songpa, Seoul: double cheese egg gimbap
In short
Jamsil Cheotjip is a Korean snack restaurant in Songpa, Seoul, near Jamsilsaenae Station. I had double cheese egg gimbap, soupy tteokbokki, and hangover anchovy noodles, then reheated the takeaway gimbap so the cheese melted. Verdict: a handy pick for an easy meal with lots of choices.

Jamsil Cheotjip (잠실첫집) is a Korean snack restaurant on B1 of the Trizium shopping arcade. From gimbap (seaweed rice rolls) and noodles to bibimbap, pork cutlets, and tteokbokki, there are lots of options, making it a nice place when you want a quick meal. There were especially many kinds of gimbap, and the prices felt fairly reasonable too—maybe that is why customers kept coming in.

An interior for solo meals or groups

The restaurant was neatly decorated in white and wood tones. There was a good variety of seating too, from solo seats that are great for eating alone to two-person seats and tables for larger groups.
I visited late, close to closing time, but there were still lots of customers. Even after closing, I kept seeing people arrive. You could really tell this is a place plenty of people usually come to.

There were seriously so many kinds of gimbap. (Decision paralysis!) Along with basic gimbap such as Mom's Gimbap and vegetable gimbap, there were double cheese egg gimbap, aged-kimchi tuna mayo gimbap, and keto gimbap made with egg sheets instead of rice.
Beyond gimbap, there were lots of noodle dishes such as anchovy noodles and spicy mixed noodles, plus meal options including spring-cabbage bibimbap and yakgochujang bibimbap. There were also Korean snack dishes such as handmade loin pork cutlet, cheese pork cutlet, fried shrimp, and tteokbokki.
I ordered hangover anchovy noodles, tteokbokki, and double cheese egg gimbap 😀

Here they are-!
Double cheese egg gimbap

First of all, the gimbap was thicker than typical gimbap and generously filled. The plating was so pretty too.. 👍
It was packed with egg sheets and cheese. I got it to go, and it was honestly so delicious after I gave it a quick spin in the microwave to melt the cheese! 😋
With beet pickled radish, carrot, and perilla leaves inside, it had a crisp texture and fragrant flavor too. Overall, it was so full of ingredients that even one roll of gimbap was more filling than I expected.
Soupy tteokbokki

This soupy tteokbokki came with rice cakes and fish cake. The rice cakes were chewy, while the broth had a slightly spicy kick along with some sweetness—an old-school Korean snack-bar kind of flavor.

Ohhh.
Hangover anchovy noodles

The noodles came in a lukewarm anchovy broth, topped with fried tofu, seaweed flakes, scallions, and more. The broth was clean-tasting, with the distinctive savory depth of anchovy stock, so it went nicely with the gimbap or tteokbokki.
There was a generous amount of noodles too, enough for a full meal even if you order just one bowl.

A Jamsilsaenae Korean snack restaurant with takeaway
If it is hard to eat in the restaurant, or if you have leftovers, you can get them packed up! They put everything in microwave-safe containers, so I could just heat it up and enjoy it again, haha.
Overall, there are many options including gimbap, noodles, bibimbap, tteokbokki, and pork cutlets, and the prices do not feel too burdensome. It felt like a good place to visit anytime, from lunch and dinner to a simple late-night bite.
The variety of gimbap in particular gave me plenty of choices when I wanted something simple. With solo seats for eating alone as well as tables for several people, it was convenient to use too. You can eat in or get takeaway, so it would also be nice when you want to eat at home or outdoors.
