Marinated pork ribs in Goyang: Sujeong Galbi Korean BBQ
In short
Sujeong Galbi Seongsa Main Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi. I ordered three portions of marinated Korean pork ribs and soybean paste stew; the meat was tender and flavorful, with roomy parking and comfortable seating. A solid choice for a generous galbi meal with family or friends.

Sujeong Galbi Seongsa Main Branch: atmosphere and parking
I visited Sujeong Galbi Seongsa Main Branch because I was craving marinated galbi (Korean grilled ribs) in Deogyang-gu. It is open every day, and there is plenty of parking right in front, so it was convenient to visit by car. The portions were generous too, making it feel like a good place to enjoy meat with family or friends.
What I ordered

First, let me show you a photo of what I ordered.
Sujeong Galbi Seongsa Main Branch information

Sujeong Galbi Seongsa Main Branch has the comfortable feel of a family home. I found out that it is also known as a good restaurant in Seongsa-dong. With Goyang CC and Seoul Hanyang CC nearby, it seems like a nice place to visit before or after a round of golf, too.

Another reason it felt good for driving was the spacious parking area in front of the restaurant. I could park right outside without having to look around for a spot, which was convenient.
2026 Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation excellent restaurant

I heard that it received an excellence award in the grilled-meat restaurant category at the 2026 Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation. That made me look forward to the meal even before eating.

The dining room was spacious, and there was plenty of space between tables, so I could eat comfortably. Aprons were ready for guests as well, which was nice.

There were meat options including marinated beef short ribs, marinated Korean pork ribs, beef rib meat, Korean beef striploin, and Korean beef yukhoe (seasoned raw beef), along with meal dishes such as soybean paste stew and naengmyeon (cold noodles). There is also a weekday lunch special available to order from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

They say you receive 1.5 L of house-made sikhye (sweet rice drink) when you write a receipt review. I had a little taste, and it was delicious.

Neatly served side dishes

The side dishes arrived neatly and cleanly presented. There were wrap vegetables, seasoned onions, salad, japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), marinated raw crab, water kimchi, braised lotus root, and pickles.

Among the side dishes, I especially liked the water kimchi and japchae. They made it easy to enjoy the meat with a variety of accompaniments.
Three portions of marinated Korean pork ribs

I ordered three portions of the marinated Korean pork ribs. At 280 g per portion, the amount felt substantial.

Once I put the meat across the whole grill, it looked so appetizing.

Because it was marinated, I kept turning the meat so it would not burn. Seeing it cook made me want to eat it right away.

The meat itself was tender, not tough at all. The marinade had soaked in well, so I kept reaching for more. It was good on its own and also paired nicely with the wrap vegetables.
Dessert soybean paste stew and sikhye

The dessert soybean paste stew arrived. It came bubbling hot and tasted delicious. It was a nice dish to have with rice after the meat.
Sikhye

After the meal, I also drank sikhye. It was pleasantly sweet, cool, and delicious—just right for refreshing my palate after the meat.
I also captured the menu I ordered at Sujeong Galbi, a good restaurant in Deogyang-gu, in a video.

Overall, I liked the spacious restaurant, ample parking, and generous meat portions. The marinade had soaked into the meat well, and the soybean paste stew made for a satisfying meal with rice. It also felt like a fine place to visit and enjoy meat with family or friends. If you are craving marinated galbi or looking for somewhere to eat before or after a round at a Goyang golf course, I hope this is helpful.
