This time, while looking for a nice Italian restaurant in Jeonpo, I visited Brassway's Jeonpo branch.

Everything was prepared so beautifully, from the vintage furniture and props to the reservation name card and letter. We ordered the Brassway Galbi Pasta, Roast Chicken Cream Risotto, Potato & Sweet Potato Stick Fries, and bread. All the food was delicious, and the chefs and staff were genuinely kind, so we had such a pleasant meal. It felt like being invited somewhere special, so I think it would suit not only dates but also birthdays, anniversaries, and wedding-invitation gatherings 🩷

What is the exterior of Brassway Seomyeon Jeonpo like?

Brassway was so pretty from the outside, with its cream-colored exterior, mint accents, and plants. The retro lettering, windows, and plants around the entrance all worked so well together that I took several photos before even going inside, haha.

There are lots of pretty restaurants in Jeonpo these days, but rather than feeling like a typical newly opened spot, Brassway felt like an old European home turned into a restaurant.

The place in the photo with “pasta, steak, pizza” written on it is Brassway Seomyeon Jeonpo.
A Jeonpo restaurant with vintage details and window tables

Once inside, the warm-toned walls, vintage tables, chairs, and lighting are the first things you notice.

There were also tables where you could dine while looking out the window.

The space was pretty without feeling overly formal, with an atmosphere that was great for taking your time and chatting over a meal, so I thought it would be perfect for a wedding-invitation gathering too.
Where can I park?
If you visit by car, the restaurant says you can receive ₩1,000 in parking support by using the nearby paid Ssangyong Parking Lot or Gate 688. Ssangyong Parking Lot accommodates SUVs, but Gate 688 is a tower parking facility and is difficult for SUVs to use, so keep that in mind if you're driving!
A reservation name card and welcome letter

Because we visited with a reservation, there was a name card with my name on it on the table. It was so cute and made me happy just looking at it, haha.

Next to the name card was a letter with a small vase. Inside was a story about Brassway and its signature galbi pasta.

The restaurant menu explained that the galbi pasta was inspired by the galbijjim (braised short ribs) the owner's father made every day. It is a soy-based pasta that interprets a galbijjim recipe the owner's father-in-law made at a renowned restaurant for 20 years in Brassway's own way~

There was also a note saying that every dish is cooked to order, so it usually takes 15–20 minutes and can take around 30 minutes when orders are backed up. Everything actually came out piping hot, which made it even more delicious 🔥

The restaurant letter also said that its head chef, a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu—known as one of the world's top three culinary schools—inherited the recipe and, after about two years of trial and error, completed it as a new dish. That made me even more excited to try it.

Warm focaccia and lemon cream cheese

The warm focaccia went wonderfully with lemon cream cheese spread on top.

It was nice to nibble on while waiting for the mains, and the lemon cream cheese was so good that we scraped up every last bit 🥹
Brassway Galbi Pasta, with the flavor of galbijjim

Brassway Galbi Pasta, the restaurant's signature dish, arrived in a shiny golden bowl that looked like a Korean mixing bowl. Seeing familiar galbijjim served as pasta in that bowl was atmospheric and visually unique. It definitely had the soy-based flavor of galbijjim, while the sauce also blended well with the pasta noodles. I loved its slightly salty, savory depth.

The short-rib meat didn't need to be picked off the bone separately—you could just eat it—which was so convenient, and it was tender and delicious.
Roast Chicken Cream Risotto that paired with galbi pasta

At first, I wondered whether the Roast Chicken Cream Risotto was made with oats, but the official menu description said it was a barley risotto. It features rich, mushroom-forward cream barley risotto topped with roast chicken in a special doenjang (fermented soybean paste) sauce.

The creamy sauce and texture of the barley grains gave it a charm different from typical rice risotto. Above all, it paired incredibly well with the galbi pasta. Like having rice alongside galbijjim, taking a bite of creamy barley risotto after the savory galbi pasta made the two dishes feel naturally perfect together.
Potato and sweet potato stick fries, a great side

The sauce served with the potato and sweet potato fries was sweet chili mayo. Its lightly spicy kick went really well with the fries.

Dipping the freshly fried sticks in the sauce gave them a familiar yet distinctive flavor, and they were just right as a side with the mains, haha.
Wedding-invitation gathering and anniversary coupon information
At the moment, the coupon tab on Naver Place has coupons for anniversaries, birthdays, blind dates, and a “Congratulations on your wedding” coupon for wedding-invitation gatherings. It says a slice of cake is given with a Naver reservation depending on the conditions, so if you're planning a wedding-invitation gathering or a visit for a special day, make sure to check before booking! I thought I should visit on my birthday next time and use the cake coupon too, haha. I wonder what kind of cake it will be, hehe.
