Dachi bar seat and highball with open-kitchen ramen: Oreno Ramen
In short
Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is a Japanese-style ramen restaurant on Bulgwangcheon-gil in Eunpyeong, Seoul, about a 10-minute walk from Saejeol Station. Sitting at the dachi (counter) seats facing the open kitchen, the writer paired tori paitan (₩13,000) with a highball, praising the light yet rich chicken broth and the staff's kindness. Right by Bulgwangcheon stream, a great spot for a walk
So I ended up at this really, really delicious restaurant. There's a stream right in front, so it's great for a walk, and the weather was so nice too, haha.
It seems super popular and honestly, it's that good. I've traveled to Japan a lot, and this is better than most Japanese restaurants I've been to. The owner and staff were so kind too — I was genuinely touched. They kept looking after us with little extras, and I was so grateful!!

Dachi seats still full even past lunch hour
We sat at the bar and it was great — the atmosphere was really nice too. Even though it was a bit past lunchtime, there were so many customers, and quite a few looked like regulars, haha. There's clearly a reason for that!

Open kitchen means you can watch the whole cooking process
Honestly, it was as good as what I've had in Japan. The side dishes were tasty too. Since it's an open kitchen, you can watch them cooking right in front of you — clean and hygienic, which I loved even more. The kitchen was really spotless, and you could tell they put a lot of care into it. I was sitting at the dachi seats and they looked after me so much, which made me even more grateful. Everyone was so, so kind — I was genuinely moved, T_T.

There are free refill items too
There were free refill items like this, and other customers seemed to go back for a bit more too. It's such a great restaurant, and the owner is so kind and nice :)

If I lived nearby, I feel like I'd come here all the time. There's a stream right in front so the atmosphere is great, plus food this delicious!!

It was clean and hygienic, which made it even better!!
Ramen with a highball — do they go well together?
Had a highball together with it !! Refreshing and crisp, it goes so well with ramen. It matched so well I wanted to order another one, haha.

What the tori paitan broth actually tastes like
It was really smooth and delicious. The broth was light yet rich, which I loved. It was clean, straightforward flavor that basically anyone would like — if you want it spicier, you can just order the spicy version, haha.
I love soft-boiled eggs, so I enjoyed it happily with the highball — they went so well together, haha. The ramen was just so, so good that I want to come back and have it again. This is a restaurant I definitely want to revisit, haha.

A great ramen spot after a walk along Bulgwangcheon
This is such a great place to go after exercising or walking along the stream right out front. I highly recommend it — you should definitely go.
It was really, really, really delicious :)
