First of all, as you can see, the inside is sooo comfortable and spacious. I think there were almost 30 tables. You might think there would be no need to worry about getting a seat, but!! So many guests come here that nearly all of those tables were full...

Thank goodness we had made a reservation. Otherwise, we almost would have been devastated to find 12 parties waiting! Please, please make a Naver reservation or reserve through Tableing before you go. And for reference, I did not go at 12 on a Saturday—I went at 14:00 (2 p.m.), and it was still like this hahaha. You can get a sense of just how popular this Yuseong-gu, Daejeon restaurant is, right?

There is also a kids' room where children can play while the adults eat, which seems to be another reason it is so popular for family meals.

From fire-grilled dishes to hot pot: what should you order?

The signature dishes here are the fire-grilled items. There are three choices: fire-grilled webfoot octopus, octopus, and spicy stir-fried pork. You can order them mixed rather than choosing only one, so you do not have to agonize too much over what to get.

There are also many other mains, including webfoot octopus cheese pasta, mushroom bulgogi hot pot, and braised beef short ribs, which was a real advantage for enjoying a wide variety of food.

And this place’s real secret weapon! When you order a set menu, pizza, salad, muksabal (cold acorn jelly soup), and coffee are all provided “free.” When you see the food photos below, you will honestly be shocked. It is seriously abundant.

Fire-grilled octopus and pork, hot pot, and Jjuchipa for six

There were six of us that day, so we ordered two portions each of the “fire-grilled octopus + pork mix,” “mushroom bulgogi hot pot,” and “Jjuchipa.” At another restaurant, only those three dishes would have arrived, but here we also got two pizzas and rice balls, making for an incredibly plentiful meal. Shall we take a look right away through the photos and video?

Doesn’t it look delicious just from the color alone? And those of you who watched the video will have seen it even better, but the portions are truly enormous. The six-person table was so full that there was barely anywhere to put things.

But you know what.... Why was all the food this delicious, too? The fire-grilled octopus + pork had an unbelievably deep smoky flavor. The octopus and pork were so tender that everyone exclaimed after one bite.

And the hot pot—how can it be so clean-tasting? The bulgogi hot pot tasted good enough to be a signature dish on its own. Jjuchipa was a rather unfamiliar dish, but with pasta, cheese, and tender webfoot octopus in a spicy sauce, there was no way it could not be delicious. My mom said this one was especially good haha.

But that is not the end! The rice balls were, as everyone knows, delicious—but this pizza! Wow... this is complimentary pizza???? The crust was so good and the cheese was truly nutty; it tasted like pizza from a specialty restaurant. I usually do not eat the outer crust of pizza... but even that was good here, so I finished every last bit.

In conclusion, this was an outstanding place where not a single thing was bad.

A separate café space for coffee after your meal

Once you go and eat here, you will ab~solutely be satisfied. Your parents will especially love it if you bring them along. These days, people in our parents’ generation like brewed coffee and lattes too, you know. And when you have a set menu here, they even give you coffee for free.

After eating, there is no need to wonder which café to go to. There is an entirely separate space set up for the café. I’m telling you, it is unbelievable...

There is a reason this restaurant remains busy with a wait even long after lunchtime. Save it on your map, bring the whole family, and definitely give it a try. Be sure to reserve before you go! You will not regret it.
