How do you order the eel?
At Yuil Jangeo, eel is ₩29,000 per kg, so I could enjoy it at a reasonable price. You simply take out the amount you want and pay for it.

This is the eel I chose—the price was seriously kind! I visited with my parents, so I ordered just the right amount. It was more than enough for the three of us, and the table-setting fee is ₩4,000 per person!

The side dishes and self-service bar
Once you order, they set out the basic side dishes, and they went so well with the eel. There was salad at the self-service bar, so I brought some over before the meal—it was fresh, and the dressing was really delicious too!

Grilling par-grilled eel briefly over charcoal
After ordering and paying for the eel, they show you to your table. They also par-grill the eel here and cut it all into easy-to-eat pieces, so you only need to grill it briefly over the charcoal. It was so nice and convenient!

There was seriously so much eel, and at ₩29,000 per kg it was great to enjoy without feeling burdened. It had a subtle smoky aroma, making for incredibly delicious grilled eel!

The eel at Yuil Jangeo was really tender and absolutely delicious, and the portion was so generous that it made for a wonderfully satisfying meal without feeling like a burden!

It was so nice to have a nourishing meal without feeling burdened. The staff were all kind, the prices were reasonable, and all the food was delicious!

The eel portion was seriously generous and plump, with such a great texture. Since it comes par-grilled, you just need to cook both sides through! It was so convenient and tasty, making this an easy place to visit. The eel here was really fresh and delicious, perfect for a filling meal!

Grilled eel with ssammu
It was also perfect wrapped with fresh vegetables, ssammu (pickled radish wraps), ginger, and garlic. That made it lighter and less rich, which I loved!

The outside grilled up crisp while the inside stayed springy, with a lovely bite. Whether dipped in sauce or piled high in a wrap, everything worked so well together that I just kept eating! I inhaled it.. 🤍🤍 My personal pick was wrapping it with ssammu—it cut through the richness and kept everything light! It was truly delicious, and I ate until I was completely full 🤍🤍✨

How was it for family meals and group gatherings?
I thought the side dishes here were such great value, and it is a lovely spot for family meals as well as group gatherings. If you are heading out near Gwangju for a drive, I think it would be so nice to stop here for a meal.

The sides were great quality too, and because the eel is par-grilled, it was so easy to finish grilling it myself. The portions were seriously generous, and the self-service bar let us bring over as many vegetables and accompaniments as we wanted, which was wonderful!
