Including this visit, it was already my fourth time here. It’s a place I’ve often visited with my family for special days like birthdays and anniversaries!!
Restaurant Polia Gimpo Unyang Branch

📍 Location: 200-9 Gimpohangang 11-ro 438beon-gil, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do ⏰ Hours: Mon, Wed–Sun 11:00–21:30 / break time 15:30–17:00 (Closed every Tuesday) 🚘 Parking: Free parking in front of the restaurant

At first, just looking at the exterior, I was like, huh? But once you go in and head up to the second floor, you’ll find the entrance to Restaurant Polia, haha.

There’s a parking lot in front of the restaurant building, and it’s free~ There was always a space whenever I visited, but they say you can use the free public parking lot if it’s full. Still, it can fit more than about 10 cars~

The interior uses wood tones and brick walls throughout, so it feels warm and comfortable. There are lots of tables and plenty of larger seats for groups of 6–10, which is a big plus! Best of all, even though it’s spacious, the restaurant is always so tidy.
So this was the Gimpo spot for great wood-fired pizza! The wood-fired oven is the first thing you see when you open the door. It’s always standing by!
More than anything, the biggest reason I keep coming back to Polia is the kindness!! The owner and staff always greet us brightly with smiles, so I leave feeling good after every meal. (I’m the type who won’t go back a second time to an unfriendly place, even if it’s famous for its food.) My dad always says the serving staff here are so kind, haha.
The Menu and Slice Tiramisu

As you’d expect from an Italian restaurant, there’s a wide range of steak, pasta, risotto, salads, and pizza, plus drinks, coffee, and desserts! You can take care of everything in one place.

One reason Polia stood out to me is the slice tiramisu they sell for dessert!! It’s seriously so good, haha.

These are photos of the tiramisu cake I had on every visit. It used to be square like the one on the left, but now its shape has changed!!
- Striploin steak à la carte (₩39,700)
- Ricotta cheese salad (₩21,900)
- Margherita pizza (₩22,900)
- Grilled chicken crema (₩20,900)
- Cream steak risotto (₩29,900)
An Honest Review of Restaurant Polia’s Food

The food took a little while to come out, so we had already eaten the salad, then waited for the rest and snapped one photo together, haha.

The soup and garlic bread appetizer come out first, haha. Yum yum!
The Ricotta Cheese Salad, Everyone’s No. 1 Pick

This was my first time ordering it, and every member of the family picked it as the best dish we had that day! It was piled with fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, tangerines, nuts, and plenty of rich, soft house-made ricotta cheese.

And because Polia has a wood-fired oven, the salad comes with warm, baked gonggalppang (hollow bread). Putting the salad inside the bread and eating it like a wrap was seriously so, so delicious hahaha. You really have to order this!!! Highly, highly recommended 👍
Margherita Wood-Fired Pizza While It’s Hot

Here comes the piping-hot wood-fired pizza! The edge of the crust was crispy, the cheese flavor was lovely, and it was exactly what a classic pizza should be. Pizza really tastes best when it’s warm!
Spicy Grilled Chicken Crema and Cream Steak Risotto

The next dishes are pasta and risotto. The grilled chicken crema was also a pasta I tried for the first time, and it was considerably spicier than I expected.

It wasn’t overwhelmingly spicy, though—it was creamy with a spicy kick, so it didn’t get tiring and was delicious. There was plenty of chicken inside too. When the pasta comes out, I recommend mixing the sauce through properly!! It tastes even better that way.

This is the cream risotto served with steak! I’m not really into risotto with undercooked rice, but this had exactly the texture I like, so I enjoyed it so much!! There were really lots of mushrooms, and the steak portion was generous too, so I recommend it for anyone who wants to try steak but doesn’t quite want to order the steak à la carte!!
Striploin Steak Cooked Medium-Well

Here’s the striploin steak, prettily plated on a black plate!! I’ve tried both tenderloin and striploin, and this time I ordered the striploin~ Try it with salt first! Then try it with the garnish and sauce!!
You can choose the doneness too, and I ordered medium-well, haha. The meat was so tender and OMG delicious.
Free After-Meal Coffee Too

One reason Polia is especially popular with my family! Once you’ve finished your meal, you can choose coffee or tea for free. You can take it to go too, and the coffee is quite good.
And the tiramisu I mentioned earlier, which is one of my absolute favorite desserts! This time it was my older sister’s birthday, so we brought a separate cake and skipped it, haha.

Polia also lets you store and eat an outside cake, so this time we had the cake we brought with the complimentary coffee 🎂☕
Overall Thoughts After My Fourth Visit
Restaurant Polia in Gimpo is somewhere I keep returning to—I’ve already visited four times. The food is generally neat and tasty, but above all, the staff’s kind service is what stays with me. This time, I was especially happy with the ricotta cheese salad I tried for the first time, and my whole family thought it was the best dish too. (Please, please order the tiramisu!!!!!)
A place I’d recommend if you’re looking for a Gimpo family meal or an anniversary dining spot! 👍
