Sunday brunch with friends: 4 à la carte dishes at Odd Bird Oliver

The Jeonpo brunch spot I visited at opening, and why I went back

Let me introduce Odd Bird Oliver, a brunch spot in Jeonpo, Busan that I love! I first visited right when it opened in June 2025, and the good memory brought me back ♡

This is exactly when having a habit of taking photos pays off,,(ᗒᗨᗕ)

One of my friends got there early, so we got seated without waiting!

Jeonpo is usually pretty quiet on Sundays, but this place was packed.

Seems like it's become known as a Jeonpo brunch hotspot..♥

Everyone was hungry so we ordered right away.

What we ordered: 4 à la carte dishes instead of the set menu, with prices

We debated getting a set menu but just picked 4 à la carte dishes instead haha

• Romaine chicken salad ₩15,000
• Green bean open sandwich ₩15,000
• White ragu pasta ₩18,000
• Pistachio jambon pasta ₩19,000

The self bar had cutlery, plates, wet wipes and more, which was convenient :-)

Romaine chicken salad — a Caesar salad with dressing that isn't overpowering

We were catching up with friends we hadn't seen in a while, and the dishes came out fast!

A salad with sous-vide chicken breast, focaccia crumble, and more — they told us to mix it well.

~ toss toss ~ Once I tried it, I have to say — I usually like Caesar salad but always find the dressing a bit too sharp, which is always a bit disappointing. But this Caesar salad wasn't like that, and I loved it.

The dressing was seasoned and portioned just right, the chicken was tender, and the focaccia crumble was crispy and nutty! A great salad to eat like an appetizer.

White ragu pasta — curly noodles well seasoned with sauce

The second dish they brought was the white ragu pasta!

The noodles are curly, shaped like macaroni, and great for scooping up with the ground meat. The texture was just the right amount of chewy, and the sauce flavor really came through since it soaked into the noodles well — a satisfying dish all around.

Pistachio jambon pasta — wrapped with house-made jambon

The third dish was the pistachio jambon pasta.

The jambon (ham) is house-made, and as they suggested, the best way to eat it was wrapping the jambon and pasta together.

Since it's butter-based and loaded with pistachio, it was rich, creamy, and full of flavor — a pasta that tasted as good as it looked.

Green bean open sandwich — green beans and green peas that pop

The last dish was the green bean open sandwich.

At buffets, I always eat a ton of the roasted green beans at the steak station,, so this toast really suited my taste.

The bread was really light and crispy, and it paired so well with the popping texture of the green beans and peas. The sauce and onions on top were tangy, and they went great with the fragrant herbs.

I didn't take a photo of it, but they'll give you pickles if you ask @.@

Since I was the one who suggested this place, I really hoped my friends would like it — and hearing that they enjoyed everything we ordered was such a relief c(ˊᗜˋ*c)

And what I loved just as much as the taste — same as my first visit — was that everyone was so kind!! That's the kind of thing that makes a place stick in your memory, you know?

With great taste, visuals, kindness, and a great space, there's no reason not to recommend Odd Bird Oliver, a Jeonpo brunch spot. It opens early in the morning, you can bring babies and dogs, and the vibe is perfect for a date too — so if you have plans in Jeonpo, be sure to stop by!
