This time we ordered the couple set (for 2), which let us try a bunch of dishes at once — great for sharing with a friend, and altogether a very satisfying meal. Here's my honest review of everything we tried, from the food to the atmosphere.

Seeing the Blue Ribbon stickers lined up from 2019 all the way to 2025 made me realize once again — this place is the real deal.

There was also this huge, exotic statue.

The tables were spaced out generously and there was a variety of seating, which made for a comfortable meal. It was also nice to look down over the Dongmyo Station street through the window.

Namaste Dongmyo Branch menu and what comes to the table first

We ordered the couple set, but looking at the menu there were plenty of snack options too. Dishes like tandoori chicken and chicken tikka caught my eye, but that's for next time!

The pickles and spicy onion salad that came out as basics paired perfectly with the curry. The spicy onion salad kept my palate fresh, so I could enjoy everything without feeling greasy.

What the couple set for 2 includes, and how it tasted

Couple set spread with samosa, chicken tikka, and shrimp chili

Our couple set came with samosa, chicken tikka, shrimp chili, chicken makhani curry, plain rice, and garlic naan. It really came out as a huge, generous spread. Just looking at it was mouthwatering!

Chicken makhani curry and garlic naan

Chicken makhani curry with garlic naan

The main dish, chicken makhani curry, was loaded with chicken in a smooth cream sauce — rich and savory, absolutely a standout. The garlic naan came out freshly baked, warm and chewy.

The chicken makhani curry had a mild flavor that pretty much anyone would like, no strong likes or dislikes about it.

Piling the curry and chicken on top of the rice was great too, and mixing them in different combinations was fun in itself.

Loading garlic naan up with curry and topping it with chicken tikka or shrimp chili for a big bite — pure happiness! The chewy texture of the naan and the smooth curry made a fantastic combo.

Samosa

The crispy fried samosa, dipped in ketchup, was stuffed full and had a light, clean flavor — really tasty.

Chicken tikka

Tender chicken marinated in spices and grilled — it had a nice spicy kick with plenty of savory depth.

Shrimp chili

The spicy-sweet chili sauce made it the kind of dish where your chopsticks just keep going back for more.

Lassi and cider served alongside the couple set

Lassi and other drinks

For drinks we got lassi and Chilsung Cider. The lassi was smooth and sweet, and it paired perfectly with the curry.
