Gwangan Bridge-view café with holiday latte: Working Holiday Minrak

Where is Working Holiday Minrak in Gwangalli?

Working Holiday Minrak is a Gwangan Bridge-view brunch café on the 7th floor of Badamaru, 29 Minrak-subyeon-ro, Suyeong-gu, Busan. I took a spontaneous day trip to Gwangalli, Busan, and decided to go to a café with a friend — and we picked [Working Holiday Minrak] again, since I loved it so much the first time.

It's located in the Badamaru building in Gwangalli. The building sits right on the corner, so the view is great. Just walk in and take the elevator up to the 7th floor! (There are 3 elevators.)

[Working Holiday Minrak] is right there the moment you step off the elevator. There's a kiosk to the left of the entrance! It's an open kitchen, and the inside is huge.

We visited around 4pm on a weekday, and there were maybe 3-4 tables of guests? (Last time I came around lunch it was packed.) The vibe was really great. Here's the kiosk menu below.

Margherita pizza 22,000 won, panuozzo 17,000 won, zero cola 3,000 won, holiday latte 7,000 won. That's what we ordered!

Seating and the self-service zone at Working Holiday Minrak

While waiting for our order, I looked around the café.

There was a long communal table in the middle of the café, plus group sofa seating, round tables, two-tops, and group tables — lots of different vibes depending on where you sit.

• They also sell coffee beans and goods like t-shirts!
• Self-service zone has water, water cups, side plates, and straws. There are also high chairs.
• Several kinds of wine and champagne were in the fridge (and there was a separate wine cellar too).

Working Holiday Minrak also has terrace seating, and with the great weather lately, this spot was amazing! If we'd only ordered drinks, sitting out here would've been perfect too.

From the terrace, Gwangalli Beach was laid out in full view. Gwangan Bridge was clearly visible too (this must be a prime spot for the Gwangalli Fireworks Festival...!!), and you could even see the Haeundae I'Park building.

You could also see the Minrak-dong breakwater (a great photo spot!).

How big are the Margherita pizza and panuozzo?

After enjoying the sea view for a while, our food arrived (buzzer went off)! It looked so appetizing. We took photos with Gwangan Bridge in the background, and a full shot too.

You can't quite tell from photos, but the portions were huge — both of us were surprised. Each dish was like 1.5 servings??

Margherita pizza, 22,000 won

The wood-fired dough was chewy and clean, and the tomato sauce, cheese, and basil came together into something clean-tasting and savory.

Panuozzo, 17,000 won

Panuozzo is an Italian sandwich made by folding pizza dough in half and stuffing it with various fillings. The corn cream soup on the side was also delicious — I kept going back for more.

The dough was packed with arugula and mortadella ham. It was savory and fragrant and so good — both my friend and I fell for it. If the Margherita pizza was a familiar, reliable flavor, the panuozzo felt like an unexpected discovery.

Holiday latte, 7,000 won

A sweet latte with ice cream in it. Do I even need to say it — so good, haha.

Around 6:30pm we were about to leave, but the sunlight and the café's atmosphere were so nice we took more photos (just before sunset).

[Working Holiday Minrak], where the floor-to-ceiling windows opened right onto the Gwangalli sea view — the vibe was great, and the pizza was really delicious! A brunch café I'd recommend if you're visiting Gwangalli Beach. Would be perfect for a date, too. I'm planning to go again soon.
