What's on the menu at Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Samsong Branch

The menu had haejangguk (hangover soup), tripe soup, and dombe pork!

  • Haejangguk (brisket/shank, beef blood, bean sprouts, napa cabbage)
  • Tripe soup (beef stomach, beef blood, bean sprouts, napa cabbage)
  • Side dishes: seasoned tripe salad, blood soup
  • Set menus: haejangguk or tripe soup + dombe pork, dombe pork + seasoned tripe salad

*Squid mulhoe (cold raw squid soup) is a seasonal menu item, so it wasn't available. For drinks, they had Hallasan soju, other soju and beer, plus non-alcoholic drinks, giving off real Jeju vibes. With the set menus, we could try haejangguk or tripe soup + dombe pork, or dombe pork + seasoned tripe salad at a reasonable price.

*Rice and broth refills were free, and you could also ask to skip the chili paste or beef blood! Just make sure to mention it before ordering. *Eunhui-ne Haejangguk also sells house-made seasoned soybean paste!

Side dishes: minced garlic and kkakdugi (radish kimchi)

Minced garlic and kkakdugi (radish kimchi) were set out on every table. It was so convenient to be able to help yourself without ordering extra! You could also add the minced garlic to your haejangguk to season it to taste. We ordered dombe pork, tripe soup, and haejangguk!

Dombe pork, best eaten in a lettuce wrap

The dombe pork came out first! It came with a great balance of fat and lean meat, plus the house special sauce, ssamjang (soybean paste dip), and garlic/chili. The dombe pork had such a glossy, tender look! Dipping it in the special sauce and soybean paste, the chewy texture of the pork was fantastic. Wrapping it up with garlic and chili made it even spicier and more delicious! I highly recommend eating it wrapped in a lettuce leaf!👍👍

Next came the tripe soup (no beef blood)! It was loaded with beef stomach, the ingredients were so generous! The beef stomach was chewy and paired perfectly with the crunch of the bean sprouts. Stirring in the chili paste, the broth had a spicy yet deep flavor.

Haejangguk with glass noodles, brisket, and beef blood

The haejangguk was really packed with ingredients — glass noodles, brisket/shank, beef blood, bean sprouts and more! The brisket/shank and noodles were nice and chewy, and the beef blood was surprisingly light and clean-tasting! After finishing the whole bowl, it made for a really hearty meal! I was so full. **Make sure to mention it to staff before you leave so they can register your parking!

Clean, mild broth even for beef blood beginners

There's no fishy or off smell at all — it's firm yet clean-tasting, so even people who don't usually enjoy beef blood can eat it comfortably and find it savory.
