Gangnam café for dark-chocolate Helsinki latte and cream cake: Mini Male
In short
Mini Male Coffee Roaster Yeoksam Branch is a specialty coffee and dessert café in Gangnam, Seoul. I chose a Helsinki Latte with Dunkel beans, plus an iced Americano and fresh cream cake, and the coffee-dessert balance was excellent. Verdict: a satisfying stop for both coffee and dessert.

A modern, orderly café space in Yeoksam
The modern interior and stainless-steel counter come together for a polished look, while the ceiling lighting gives the whole space a clean, orderly feel.

With a mix of mid-century sensibility and Nordic minimalism, it photographs beautifully, and even the paper-cup design is simple and appealing. The seating is compact, but the layout is well planned, so it feels less inconvenient even when busy. Window seats receive natural light and are especially lovely during the day.

Cakes and handmade cookies are displayed temptingly in the showcase, and you can order either at the kiosk or counter, which makes things flexible even during busy periods. The prices feel like affordable premium pricing, geared toward daily specialty coffee, so dropping in every day does not feel like a burden. The menu is divided into coffee, lattes, and desserts, giving you plenty of choice, and seasonal limited items also appear from time to time to keep regulars coming back.

Helsinki Latte ordered with Dunkel beans
This place uses only specialty green coffee beans with cupping scores of 80 or above, and you can choose Balance (an Ethiopian blend), Dunkel (a Central and South American blend), or decaf.

Balance has pleasant acidity and a clean finish; Dunkel brings a rich, nutty dark-chocolate flavor; and decaf is easy to enjoy without worrying about caffeine, even in the evening. I ordered a Helsinki Latte with Dunkel for that nutty, weighty dark-chocolate character, along with an iced Americano and fresh cream cake.

The Helsinki Latte is a signature drink that pairs the deep espresso of freshly roasted beans with the softness of rich milk, and it has already sold more than 100,000 cups. Its concept is a reinterpretation of the unforgettable latte encountered in Helsinki, Finland, and true to that idea, the milk flavor shines through while the coffee still has a clear presence—wonderfully balanced.

The iced Americano and fresh cream cake pairing
The iced Americano was clean and well balanced too, while the fresh cream cake was not overly sweet and let the cream's flavor come through, making it great with coffee. The cake layers were moist with just the right density, so even one slice was very satisfying.

If you are looking for delicious coffee and dessert in Yeoksam, Mini Male is definitely worth a stop. You can enjoy specialty coffee at reasonable prices, and the desserts are high quality too—a café that delivers on both coffee and dessert.

A Yeoksam Station café known for great cookies, where it is easy to take a break in a modern, clean atmosphere. The rich, nutty Helsinki Latte with delicious handmade cookies was such a satisfying combination that I am already thinking of trying cheesecake and coffee with different beans next time. It is a place I can recommend for dates, meetings, or some time alone.
