Gyeongju café buying two 15-piece walnut pastry gift sets: Buja Hodu
In short
Buja Hodu is a takeout walnut pastry shop on Gyeongju's Hwangridan-gil, Gyeongbuk. The writer bought two 15-piece mix sets, opened one to taste pea red bean, matcha, original and pea cream cheese fillings made with low-sugar red bean paste, and got the whole thing wrapped in a bojagi cloth. A solid pick for a holiday gift set.

Here I am again, scouting out delicious spots as always haha. Right before this I introduced Tareudang, the fruit mochi place that's hot right now on Gyeongju's Hwangridan-gil~~~~
And just 2 minutes on foot from Tareudang, I found another genuinely delicious place — great for gifting too, a dessert spot made with care using good ingredients!!!!

Seriously, just 2 minutes' walk from Tareudang and this pretty building comes right into view?? Total vibes, right???? haha

Buja Hodu, visible from far away!!! It's really popular these days as a holiday gift with the holidays coming up!!! Really good for gifting I think!!!

The bojagi gift set and menu lineup
The gift set comes wrapped in a bojagi (traditional cloth wrap) like this, all pretty and done up — so good for holiday gifts or gifting in general, right????

Lots of foreign visitors come here too, so the foreign-language labeling is perfect!!! I bought two 15-piece mix sets~~~ Three different flavors packed in, so totally curious!!!

A dessert that thinks about your health, using organic ingredients and low-sugar red bean paste!!! Even older folks will really love these walnut pastries!!! Gift one pack, and gift the other one to yourself ♥
If you leave a receipt review, they give you 2 walnut pastries or an Americano?? Definitely try it~~~

Ahh, warm and freshly made, looks so delicious~~~ I wanted to eat it right that second!! But they wrap it up so nicely~~~~~~
Opening the package: 15 pieces in 3 rows of 5
Wait!!! What is going on with this packaging!!! So full of character and pretty, right??? People giving or receiving this gift are going to love it so much!!!
Lined perfectly inside with parchment paper too!!!! So classy, so classy~~~~

Open it up and the 15 pieces are neatly arranged in 3 rows of 5~~~ They're wrapped in 3 different colors so it's even more pretty and cute haha
Unwrap them like this~~~ and out comes the cutest walnut pastry!!! Really big in size and looks super fluffy!!!

One of each flavor: which one I liked best
Now for real, taking out one of each flavor!!! Ahh aren't they just too cute lol. Walnut pastries being cute — who knew~~~
Pea red bean, matcha, and original — three flavors!!!! The cross-section is so cute??? More than half is packed with walnut!!! Truly a healthy snack, right??? haha
Ah!!! No diet worries with Buja Hodu!!! Because~~~ they use low-sugar red bean paste~~~
The matcha has such a pretty color, and it's a trendy ingredient right now, so definitely try it!!! Perfect with coffee!!!

Original speaks for itself~~ classics are forever!!! Just that exact clean, nutty flavor we all know.

And there's one more unique filling you can find at Buja Hodu!!! Pea cream cheese~~ I genuinely enjoyed how nutty and delicious it was!!! I'm a huge cream cheese person so haha
I'd recommend all three flavors at Buja Hodu, so if it's your first time, go with the mix!!!
