If you love fruit and you're in Gyeongju's Hwangridang-gil, you have to visit this café called Tareudang. I got to visit as part of a Superchart campaign, and I was so satisfied overall — the visuals, the taste, even the packaging. Here's my detailed review of Tareudang 🫶🏻

A fruit lineup that changes with the season

The fruit lineup changes every season! Right now they've got summer fruits like kiwi and mango ready. Strawberries and tangerines show up in winter :-)🍓🍊

This was the lineup when I visited: fresh chocolate / peach yogurt / mango yogurt / fig yogurt / pineapple / gold kiwi. 📍Prices vary by type, ranging between ₩5,500 and ₩7,500 each — fun to pick whichever matches your mood, right?

Fig, fresh chocolate, and mango mochi three-way

It's the Tareudang mochi! Orange is mango yogurt, pale khaki is fig yogurt, dark khaki is fresh chocolate. Figs are in season right now, so I grabbed two 💚

I wanted to take them out one by one and arrange them prettily for a photo, but the mochi just... burst ㅠㅠㅠ🥺

I really wanted a nice clean cross-section shot too, but they were so soft only the chocolate one survived intact 🥹

Fig yogurt mochi

💚Here's the fig yogurt cross-section. A whole fig was tucked inside, and this was the first one I tried — the little seedy crunch and the elegant sweetness were fantastic 👍🏻 Not an artificial sweetness at all, but the fruit's own fresh sweetness balanced with the yogurt's tang, nothing overdone, easy to eat without feeling heavy.

Fresh chocolate mochi

🤎This is the fresh chocolate mochi cross-section. Deep, rich, chewy chocolate flavor — perfect for a sugar recharge when you need one!!🔋 If you love sweet desserts, this fresh chocolate mochi is basically a crowd-pleaser, no debate about it!

Mango yogurt mochi

💛Last up, mango yogurt! We've got a mango fiend living in my house haha, so this one's non-negotiable ㅎㅎ There's a big chunk of tangy-sweet fresh mango inside! The refreshing yogurt cream and the sweet-tart mango came together really well 🥭 The mango pieces were generously sized too, so you really get the full mango flavor!
