This café really stands out for accessibility and convenience. When you drive somewhere, the first thing you check is parking, and since this place is inside the KCC Switzen commercial building, I could comfortably use the retail-only parking lot behind the building.

What we ordered and how much it cost

Can we all agree that a cold iced Americano after a meal at a Yeongjongdo café is just standard practice for Korean people, haha? We ordered two iced Americanos along with a variety of baked goods.

The prices were reasonable too — the egg tart, packed with real vanilla bean, was ₩3,500; the fig cream cheese financier, with its excellent sweet-salty balance, was ₩3,500; and the nutty, chewy almond financier was ₩3,200.

We rounded out a generous spread by adding the salt bread — crispy outside, chewy inside — for ₩3,000. Bundling the salt bread with an Americano brings the total to ₩6,000, an ₩800 discount, which is a nice little perk unique to this Yeongjongdo salt bread spot. Thanks to the reasonable pricing, the cost of a Yeongjongdo date is much lighter on the wallet.

Guatemala–Brazil blend Americano and mazagran

The coffee here is excellent too. The Americano, brewed from a Guatemala-Brazil bean blend, has a pleasant hint of acidity up front, followed by a rich, nutty flavor that fills your mouth.

That nutty sip of coffee pairs perfectly with the sweet bakery items at this Yeongjongdo dessert spot, and matches beautifully with the sweetness of the crisp-outside, moist-inside egg tart.

If you usually prefer refreshing, unusual drinks, a glass of mazagran — Portuguese-style iced coffee — is a great choice too. Mazagran's crossing notes of bitterness and sweetness are perfect for a mood switch-up, and the refreshing lemon coffee also pairs the heaviness of coffee with the brightness of fruit beautifully. After a late-night drive, sipping a cold lemon coffee at a 24-hour café in Yeongjongdo while enjoying the night air would also have its own special charm.

Canelé and scones I meant to pack but ate anyway

When I first ordered, I'd eaten so much at lunch that I figured I'd pack the leftover bread to go. I even asked the owner about takeout packaging in advance, but the moment I saw the canelé on display, I couldn't resist the temptation. The plain, coffee-friendly scones were also eye-catching enough to draw me in.

Before I knew it, we'd picked at one thing after another and only an empty plate was left. The fact that I kept eating even while full made me nod and think — yes, this really is a proper Yeongjongdo dessert spot.

The canelé's signature texture — crisp outside, moist inside — was fully intact, and I was very satisfied. The scone alone, with its deep flavor and no flashy tricks, is reason enough to visit. After tasting it, I understood why this famous Yeongjongdo salt bread spot has such an irresistible pull.

Good for a date, good for family tea time too

Chatting over tasty snacks in the pleasant atmosphere of this Yeongjongdo café, time flew by without me noticing — that's how comfortable this Yeongjongdo café spot was. It works wonderfully as an intimate Yeongjongdo date spot with a partner, and it's more than enough for a sweet tea time with family after a meal.
