Suwon pizza restaurant Low Five: four dishes with friends
In short
Low Five is a Western-style restaurant in Haenggung-dong, Suwon, Gyeonggi, known for pizza and pasta. On this visit with friends, four dishes — half corn/half hot pepperoni pizza, alfredo cream pasta, hot pot pescatore pasta, and kimchi fried rice — arrived almost at the same time so everything could be eaten hot. All four were on the spicy side, which kept the meal clean instead of heavy, making a half-and-half pizza plus a pasta or fried rice of your choice a solid combo to recommend.

My go-to spot in Haenggung-dong: Low Five

Low Five is already well known as a Haenggung-dong restaurant, famous especially as a date spot — I'd already been once on a date and had a great pizza and pasta. This time I wanted to try a wider range of the menu with friends, so I came back to Low Five!! (Still delicious.) And just like that, Low Five became my go-to place in Haenggung-dong!!

The wait and the atmosphere inside

Just as popular now as back then. Being a well-known Western-food spot in Haenggung-dong, there was a bit of a wait. But the inside isn't that small and has a good mix of table types, so we got seated pretty quickly. The interior is also decorated in that pretty, distinctly Haenggung-dong style that just gives off a good feeling,,,‼️

As soon as you sit down, the table is set with these cute dishes and napkins printed with 'Low Five'! 😋 Right after sitting, we ordered straight away via table order! We went with four different things: half corn/half pepperoni pizza, alfredo cream pasta, hot pot pescatore pasta, and kimchi fried rice!

There's also a self-serve bar like this, so if you want hot sauce or any other extra sauce, you can just help yourself!
All four dishes came out almost at the same time

The dishes showed up quickly after the wait! Since we ordered such a variety, I expected them to come out slowly one at a time, but they all arrived in a rush, and I loved that! I'm not a fan of restaurants where you're finishing one dish as another arrives — here they came out almost simultaneously, so we got to enjoy everything hot at the same time. First up, true to its reputation as a Haenggung-dong pizza spot, the good-looking half corn/half hot pepperoni pizza appeared!🍕🍕 Is it just me, or did it taste even better than last time,,,? The toppings were still generous, the dough was great, and the sauce was plentiful — delicious.
Alfredo cream pasta

Alfredo cream pasta!!🥓🥓 It came with thick, whole chunks of bacon, and the cream pasta had a slightly spicy edge so it never felt heavy — loved that so much!! The bacon + cream pasta combo is unbeatable,,
Hot pot pescatore pasta

The hot pot pescatore pasta was even better than expected! Think of it as a tomato-based, spicy-hot soupy pasta — basically the pasta version of a hangover soup you'd imagine, but a fancier version of it? The combination of tomato and the spicy, savory broth was so good, it was loaded with seafood, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the sauce itself was just delicious!! 🍝🍅 If you like spicy tomato pasta/pescatore/hangover-pasta type dishes, you will absolutely love this!!

Getting it all in one frame makes it look even better — as good as it looks, or maybe even better? It was so good everyone kept going 'mmm~!! mm!!!!' while eating. Genuinely, every single dish was delicious 🍕🍝🍚
Kimchi fried rice

And right after that came the kimchi fried rice! There's a version topped with avocado, but we ordered the plain, classic kimchi fried rice — and wow. I'd seen a review saying it's just as famous as the pizza here, and sure enough!! It was so good.. I admit it
Spicy food that never feels heavy

Look at how generous the sauce and cheese are on the pizza — see it stretching! It was genuinely packed inside, so one slice felt heavy(?)🍕🍕 Every bite was so good it never got tiring ㅠㅠㅠ And since everything had a base level of spiciness, it was clean and tasty without the usual heaviness of Western food — I loved that part so much! The pizza was great, the two very different pastas were both amazing, and the kimchi fried rice with the scrambled egg on top was seriously so good I scraped the bowl clean!!!!🍚
What to order with a group
I want to recommend just one or two standout dishes, but honestly all four were so good in such different ways that I can't pick… I guess it really comes down to personal taste?! Still, since pizza is the signature menu here 🍕 and this place is famous as a Haenggung-dong pizza spot, I'll quietly suggest getting a half-and-half pizza and then adding either a pasta or the kimchi fried rice depending on your taste!! ⭐️
