Gongdeok Station burger restaurant, sweet potato fries: Quokka Bite

I heard there was a new spot near Gongdeok Station where you could enjoy cute characters and delicious handmade burgers together, so I decided to check it out~! It's a burger place themed around adorable quokkas, and since I was craving a burger after work, I went on a weekday evening~!

Is there a wait at Quokka Bite at 7pm on a weekday?

I arrived around 7pm on a weekday and luckily got a table and ordered right away with no wait~! There aren't that many tables inside Quokka Bite, so it seems like it could get crowded on weekends or during peak hours~!

Maybe because it's newly opened, the whole interior was super clean and pleasant! Most of all, the cute quokka props and decor scattered throughout the store made it really fun to look around haha. The owner was also incredibly kind and warm even to first-time customers, so I got to enjoy my meal in a great mood the whole time~!

What kind of burger restaurant is Quokka Bite?

This Gongdeok favorite, Quokka Bite, is apparently a grilled burger brand near Gyeongui Line Forest Park created by a chef with 10 years of experience who trained at Le Cordon Bleu, known as one of the world's three great culinary schools. Both the food and the atmosphere make it a perfect date spot near Gyeongui Line Forest Park~!

At Quokka Bite, this Gongdeok handmade burger favorite, they don't just stack ingredients — they care about the savoriness of the bun, the flavor of the patty, the freshness of the vegetables, and the balance of the sauce. What makes this Gongdeok handmade burger spot special is that the patties are cooked on an open flame grill, bringing out a smoky flavor and juiciness~!

Out of the many options, I chose the Quokka Shrimp Burger, since I was looking forward to that chewy texture, along with onion rings and sweet potato fries as sides~!

The moment I saw the shrimp burger at this Gongdeok favorite, Quokka Bite, I was impressed by how thick the patty was!

The moment I took a bite, I could really feel the crispy-outside, juicy-inside whole shrimp, and the chewy, bouncy texture was so good~! Instead of minced shrimp, the presence of big whole shrimp really came through, giving it fantastic flavor! The brioche bun was especially savory, and the vegetables and sauce were so harmonious that I enjoyed it right down to the last bite~! Definitely recommend it for lunch near Gongdeok Station!

The onion rings I ordered as a side were also delicious, with the sweet onion coming through whole, and they were fried really crispy so the texture was great too!

At Quokka Bite, this Gongdeok burger favorite, I definitely recommend pairing your meal with the sweet potato fries...! They have a charm totally different from regular fries — that sweet-and-salty combo is seriously addictive!!!

Quokka Bite, this Gongdeok favorite, is great as a hearty lunch spot during a busy midday, and it's also really nice to visit for a date near Gyeongui Line Forest Park after work with a beer or a drink. Thanks to the cute quokka character and the delicious burgers, I think this Gongdeok spot will stay in my memory as a place that leaves you with a happy smile. Definitely recommend Quokka Bite~!~~!
