So today my husband and I properly enjoyed a date near Pusan National University for the first time in ages~ We both graduated a long time ago, but walking around campus again, mixed in among the students, brought back all sorts of memories from our twenties haha~

Thanks to that, we ended up back at Moshi Moshi, a sushi place near PNU that I hadn't visited in a while, and had a really tasty lunch — still good in both taste and price~! Alright, let me write up that day's review.

We agonized for a while between yaki udon and hot udon and ended up going with plain udon — though apparently the cold buckwheat noodles are also quite popular here.

How did the 18 pieces of sushi taste?

The 18 pieces of sushi, neatly arranged on a long rectangular plate, made for a variety I really liked.

The vividly red tuna felt moist and had a rich stickiness the moment I picked it up with chopsticks — no fishy taste at all, melting softly with that signature nutty tuna flavor~

Just a touch of sprout garnish on top added a bit of freshness that seemed to cut through the richness.

The squid was chewy with that distinctive dense texture, and the more you chewed, the more a gentle sweetness came through — amazing~!

The sweet-and-tangy special sauce and onion on the salmon, the chewy nutty flounder fin, and the sweet-salty classic eel sushi — overall the fish slices were thick and the rice was seasoned and served at just the right temperature, letting the fish's natural flavor really come through. The rice felt a little large for my taste, but my husband said it was just right for him.

Anyway, we cleared the entire 18-piece plate in no time and even ordered 2-3 extra pieces a la carte — genuinely stuffed ourselves silly, haha.

Eight pieces of shrimp tempura in one set

Wait, how many shrimp is this even?? A total of 8 pieces of shrimp tempura, coated in crispy Japanese-style batter!

The moment you bite in, it shatters with a satisfying crunch — the texture was seriously great. Inside was a plump, juicy whole shrimp, and dipping it lightly in the tempura sauce brought together the nutty oil aroma and sweet shrimp flavor perfectly.

Udon, the noodle dish we picked

I thought the udon we ordered as our set option would be a mini size, but the bowl looked like it was easily enough for two people.

The broth wasn't too sharp — clean but savory, perfect for sipping between bites of sushi. The noodles were chewy sanuki-style noodles.

Highly recommend dipping the shrimp tempura briefly into the broth, too!
