I was looking for somewhere to have lunch near PNU (Pusan National University) and got to visit Moshi Moshi PNU Branch this time as part of a campaign :) This place has been around forever and is considered one of the go-to restaurants near PNU 👍🏻
Oh, and I'd actually been to Moshi Moshi once before with a friend and it was so good I really wanted to come back again, haha!

Moshi Moshi PNU Branch
⏰ Daily 11:00–21:30 (last order 21:00) (Break time weekdays only, 15:00–16:30) 🚘 Parking available, 1 hour supported at building lot

Can you drive to Moshi Moshi PNU Branch? 1 hour of parking support
This is the biggest advantage of Moshi Moshi PNU Branch!
There are so many spots near PNU where parking is really tough, so when picking a restaurant you end up thinking about parking just as much as the food. On that front, Moshi Moshi was definitely easy. Such a huge parking lot right next to the restaurant!!

Honestly, if you drive near PNU, it's basically NC Department Store or a public lot, right?
But at Moshi Moshi you can use the parking lot right next to the restaurant, and they even support 1 hour of parking, which was so convenient. For anyone eating near PNU with a car, this could be a bigger perk than you'd expect.

The price is cheap too!! On weekends it's even cheaper than the public lot!! Whoa

A Jangjeon-dong sushi fixture open since February 2012
Moshi Moshi PNU Branch opened in February 2012... Wow, Moshi Moshi has been a fixture near PNU for 15 years now! That must be possible because the food is good, right...?!

You can even see the sushi lineup and prices from outside, haha. If I were just passing by and saw this, the prices look reasonable and the food looks good, so I'd probably just wander right in, lol

There are so many good restaurants near PNU that it's hard to decide, but on this day I came for sushi, my favorite. Moshi Moshi has been running near PNU for a long time and offers not just sushi but also udon, memil (buckwheat noodles), ramen, sashimi, tempura, and more 🤭
It's honestly great for all kinds of visits — lunch, dinner, meal gatherings, dates, you name it, so I'd definitely recommend it.

Inside Moshi Moshi PNU Branch: three window tables for four
I thought we'd have to take our shoes off to go in, but no! You just walk in with your shoes on, haha. Actually even better~~

Once inside, the space was much bigger and had more seats than I expected, and it felt comfortable. The tables weren't cramped together either, so it was nice for a relaxed meal — good for family outings, friend gatherings, or group meals too. Actually, while I was eating, a call came in for a group reservation!! Haha

There are 3 window tables for four people.

I'd booked through Naver reservations, so they gave me a window seat.

They set out chopsticks, wet wipes, and cups for each person, and the staff were super friendly and kind 🥰
You order via the tablet at the table, and pay later on your way out.

What we ordered at Moshi Moshi: sushi platter, salmon-tuna sushi 10P, karaage
That day we ordered the Sushi Platter (Better version) + salmon-tuna sushi 10P + chicken karaage. Looking at the menu, there were so many set options... and lots of side dishes too, so it was fun choosing, lol. Honestly, decision paralysis;;
From assorted sushi to salmon sushi, salmon-tuna sushi, and white fish sushi, there's a wide range of individual items, plus platter sets where you can enjoy sushi alongside tempura, salad, and noodle dishes together 👍🏻👍🏻

The origins are also mostly domestic, so you can trust what you're eating 🐷 And what was great while waiting for the food was that the chef made the sushi right after we ordered, fresh!

Better Sushi Platter, 24,900 won
The sushi platter isn't just sushi — it comes with several side dishes (tempura, udon) too, so it was genuinely filling as a full meal, lol, seriously. The side dishes like cabbage salad and soft tofu were clean and light, plus they're refillable, which was great.
Since the sushi is made right after you order instead of being pre-made, it definitely tasted fresher. With sushi, the condition of the rice and the sashimi matters most, right? The slices of fish on top were thick and generous, so it looked satisfying just picking one up. And the taste — need I say more! Chewy, springy, plump, moist.

Salmon and tuna sushi, 10 pieces for 26,000 won
You eat salmon and tuna with your eyes first, right, haha. I especially like when the sashimi has some thickness rather than being cut too thin, so you get that soft, chewy bite — and Moshi Moshi's sushi was exactly my style 🫵🏻💖
The salmon in particular had a soft chew with just the right texture!!! And the tuna had a nice bit of fattiness with real depth of flavor.

Chicken karaage, 8,000 won
The chicken karaage we ordered separately was also delicious. Sushi alone can feel a little lacking, but pairing it with the super crispy karaage in between bites made for a really good combination.
Eating the sushi together with the side dish made the meal much more filling than I expected. Honestly, I was stuffed...
If you like trying a bit of a lot of different things, I'd recommend adding a side like this to a platter set, haha.

Is Moshi Moshi PNU Branch worth it for lunch in Jangjeon-dong?
When you're looking for lunch near PNU, sushi feels like a pretty solid choice if you want something clean rather than heavy or spicy. My soul food, always ✌🏻⭐️
I'd recommend Moshi Moshi to anyone looking for a good lunch restaurant near PNU. There's a wide variety of sushi and the platter sets are packed enough to make for a satisfying, filling lunch.

It was a pretty good choice...

If you're looking for somewhere to eat in Jangjeon-dong, not just near PNU, the location is pretty good too, so anyone searching for sushi restaurants in Jangjeon-dong might want to keep this in mind. Definitely give it a try whenever you're near NC Department Store or passing by PNU
