Today I'm back at one of my go-to Japanese spots! I've revisited this restaurant near Isu Station where the bukkake udon and tonkatsu are seriously delicious haha. It's clean and comfortable enough for a date with a friend or eating solo, so let me introduce this review of Kosi Isu Branch ♥
Where is Kosi Isu Branch, and what are the hours?
Kosi Isu Branch is on the 1st floor at 300 Sadang-ro, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, South Korea, open from 11:20 AM to 9:00 PM. It's just a 1-minute walk from Exit 9 of Isu Station, so accessibility is really great.

When I first went looking for the place, the entrance caught my eye right away :) It's located right by the exit, just a 1-minute walk from Exit 9 of Isu Station haha. It's the one next to Yeopgi Tteokbokki! Here's what the exterior looks like! The white tones and wood accents blend together really nicely, giving it a clean, tasteful feel~! It looks big and spacious even from outside :)

Inside Kosi Isu Branch: seating that works for solo diners
Inside Kosi Isu Branch, there are window-side single seats, so it's totally fine to visit alone. The tables are spaced generously and the whole place feels tidy, so I stayed comfortable the whole time haha.
Once you step inside, this cozy yet sophisticated interior greets you! The lighting is warm overall, which makes for a nice atmosphere and I felt like food photos would turn out great here too :)

Kosi Isu Branch is known for its house-made noodles haha. The entrance door was so pretty and the interior looked cozy from outside too :) An atmosphere that fits all four seasons!
What we ordered at Kosi Isu Branch: cheese katsu and toriten bukkake udon
Toriten bukkake udon Cheese katsu

What we ordered today was the visually overwhelming cheese katsu and the toriten bukkake udon with its perfectly springy texture! It all came out so neatly and generously... just looking at it made my mouth water... it looked absolutely delicious~!

Cheese katsu: how long does the cheese stretch?
Kosi Isu Branch's cheese katsu had crispy fried breading generously packed with thick, savory cheese. I wanted to introduce this one first! Its perfect visual immediately caught my eye :)

The moment you bite in, the outside goes 'crunch!' and inside, tender meat mixes with hot, savory cheese that stretches into long strings — it was so savory and delicious ><

I already love cheese katsu haha, and the combination of clean pork with zero gamey smell and cheese full of flavor was just the best...!! It's great dipped in sauce, or just with a bit of wasabi on top — either way my mouth filled up with savory richness and I was so happy haha. The cheese was really chewy too haha.

Toriten bukkake udon: springy noodles with tsuyu poured over
Toriten bukkake udon is udon where you pour a cool, savory, umami-rich tsuyu (Japanese dipping sauce) over the noodles. This one exceeded expectations and was so appealing! The noodles were incredibly springy haha. The chewy, bouncy texture in my mouth was pure art!!

On top were big, crispy pieces of fried sweet pumpkin and shrimp tempura, and dipped into the tsuyu sauce, it soaked into the tempura and turned crispy and savory — so delicious~!
Is Kosi Isu Branch worth a repeat visit?
Kosi Isu Branch today had such a nice atmosphere, and I could really feel the care put into each dish, so both my mouth and eyes were happy the whole meal haha.
