Yuja Salmon Jang Set for Lunch at Roi Sikdang, a Hanam Misa Restaurant
In short
Roi Sikdang Hanam Misa Main Branch is a Japanese home-style restaurant in a residential area along Misagangbyeon-bukro in Hanam, Gyeonggi. Visiting on a weekday at noon meant a brief wait for a full house, then a window table for two with the ongi yuja salmon jang set and a lemonade, the thick 24-hour aged salmon jang wrapped in gamtae (seaweed) with rice disappearing in minutes. With a neat full spread down to dessert fruit, it's a place worth bringing your parents to.

I'm Pink Bonbon, a mom who loves a good restaurant tour. Today I came for lunch at Roi Sikdang, a Hanam Misa restaurant loved by many for its Japanese home-style set meals.

Roi Sikdang's location, hours, and parking

At this Hanam Misa restaurant, there was parking available right near the entrance, so I could park easily and head straight in.

The exterior of Roi Sikdang in Hanam was clean and neat, the kind of place that catches your eye right away. I arrived right at noon, and the restaurant was already full, so I waited a bit for a table.

Atmosphere and seating
Inside, this Hanam Misa restaurant was cozy but had plenty of tables — 4-tops, 2-tops, and even a 6-top. I lucked into a window-view 2-top and was seated quickly. The menu at Roi Sikdang in Hanam centered on Japanese home-style dishes, served as neat, tidy full spreads — one of the hidden gems of Hanam. The crowd ranged widely too, from elderly guests to parents, office workers, friends, and couples, all clearly fans of this Roi Sikdang.
We ordered the ongi yuja salmon jang set and a lemonade.

This Hanam Misa restaurant opened in 2017 and has now been a quietly beloved spot in Hanam Misa for eight years. Since it's tucked into a residential neighborhood, finding it genuinely felt like a treasure hunt. On a warm, breezy afternoon, my friend and I ordered lunch and waited a little while.

The ongi yuja salmon jang set, a signature spread
The ongi yuja salmon jang set, the star of the menu at this Hanam Misa restaurant! It arrived looking truly neat and clean, everything laid out beautifully and ready to eat. As befits Roi Sikdang's signature dish, plenty of other diners were enjoying the exact same meal. This spot has already built a word-of-mouth reputation as a donburi (rice bowl) restaurant near Hanam Misa, and it's become a popular date spot for the neighborhood too — a real good-hearted restaurant.

The salmon jang sitting in the ongi (earthenware pot), made with a yuja (citron) base, had a texture that was soft yet had real bite to it — genuinely impressive. That bowl of rice was gone in a flash! With sprouts, chili, and onion mixed in, the ongi yuja salmon jang set smelled so good it practically said 'delicious' out loud — I was completely drawn in.

The taste of 24-hour aged salmon jang
The salmon jang, aged for 24 hours in the ongi, had thick, generous cuts of salmon. It wasn't overly salty, striking a lovely sweet-and-salty balance — aged just enough that you could eat it plain without it being too salty. The depth of flavor was genuinely charming.

Wrapped in gamtae
The salmon jang was already well-seasoned, so piling it piece by piece onto the accompanying rice and wrapping it in gamtae (a type of seaweed) tasted amazing at this Roi Sikdang. Personally, I love gamtae way more than regular gim (dried laver), so the moment I saw it here, I couldn't help but clap like a seal.

Piling the tangy, tender salmon jang on top of the fluffy rice, I ate with total abandon — the seasoned yuja salmon jang made the whole bowl of rice disappear in no time at this delicious Hanam Misa restaurant! No wonder it's built such a strong word-of-mouth reputation as a hidden gem!

Lemonade and banchan
On top of that, the cool, refreshing lemonade paired beautifully with the meal — the crispness was genuinely wonderful.

Neat and clean, each banchan (side dish) was delicious in its own right — I devoured the rice and ongi yuja salmon jang and cleared every last side dish without asking for a refill, and my long-hungry stomach was completely full! Everything tasted so good and pleasant that I wanted to close my eyes and savor it — the texture itself was genuinely melt-in-your-mouth amazing!

A full spread that even comes with dessert
To top off this neat, complete set, dessert was included too — pineapple and orange gave my mouth a fresh, tangy finish, making the whole meal absolutely perfect! This Hanam Misa restaurant is one you'd get praised for bringing your parents to — Roi Sikdang♡. Personally, I think it's one of the best neat, tidy Japanese home-style restaurants around!
