Charcoal-grilled pork in Hanam: Gogitri 88beonji

A charcoal-seared Korean barbecue restaurant near Misa Station

I visited Gogitri 88beonji Hanam Misa Direct Branch (고깃리88번지 하남미사직영점), a pork restaurant in Misa with charcoal-seared meat and an unlimited soju promotion. They par-sear fresh Korean pork over charcoal.

It was about a six-minute walk from Exit 3 of Misa Station, so it was easy to get to by public transit. It’s also near Megabox Misa Gangbyeon, making it nice for meat after a movie.

There was also a sign on the building exterior saying they use only fresh Korean meat. The dining room was spacious, so I think it would be good for a group company dinner near Misa Station too.

It was in a good spot to stop by while taking a walk around Misa Lake Park. There was also a notice saying that everything from the meat to the sesame oil is 100% Korean.

Tablet ordering and recommended dishes

You order from the tablet at each table! We got the value 2-person set (300 g pork belly + 150 g pork skin), soybean paste stew, steamed rice, spicy cold noodles, and Fanta Pine. A place with Fanta—always a welcome sight.

There was a whiteboard on the wall with today’s recommended dishes, including the Gogitri Assorted A platter, pork neck, and a drinking-food set with makchang (beef intestine), pork skin, and chicken feet.

Par-seared pork neck, pork belly, and honeycomb pork skin

As soon as we sat down, the side dishes were set out first: kimchi, seasoned chives, pickled myeong-i leaves, seasoned dried radish strips, seasoned bean sprouts, ssamjang (savory dipping paste), cho-gochujang (sweet-tangy red pepper sauce), wasabi, and salt. There was quite a spread.

We ordered pork neck and pork belly from the Gogitri Assorted A platter. The kitchen does all the par-searing first, and we could watch a staff member finish grilling the meat over the charcoal. The par-seared meat came with mushrooms and shishito peppers.

The pork belly was cut nice and thick; one bite and the juices burst out, with a clear charcoal aroma. Meat really does taste better when a meat expert grills it.

The wrap vegetables came with whole garlic and Cheongyang chili peppers. Wrapping up a piece of meat with them was sooo delicious.

The honeycomb pork skin also came par-seared, and it was lightly crisp outside, chewy, and tender—so good! The soybean paste stew was amazing too!! Meat, white rice, and soybean paste stew: the best! Calling all meat-and-rice fans! They also gave us myeongran (seasoned pollock roe), which was delicious on top of the meat.

Spicy cold noodles and the soju promotion

The bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) we ordered as a side came topped with a soft-boiled egg, shredded cucumber, and shredded radish, and we wrapped it up properly with the meat! Having meat, stew, and makguksu (buckwheat noodles) all on one table—this is paradise.

They say you can drink unlimited soju from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays! Even in the evening, soju is only ₩1,900 and beer ₩2,000! It’s perfect for a company dinner or gathering: there’s plenty of room, and they par-sear the meat for you, so I recommend it.

Stop by before or after a walk at Misa Lake Park

It’s in a great location for stopping by before or after a walk around Misa Lake Park, haha. Parking is free for two hours at Useong Misa Tower, but remember to register after paying. They also offer corkage, so if you enjoy drinks, it may be worth asking ahead.
