I wanted mackerel, I wanted hairtail, and with the wind blowing, I was craving a warm stew too—so I visited Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch, located close to Jeju Airport. ✈️🚢🌊🐟 It is very close to Jeju Airport, making it a lovely stop for your first meal after arriving in Jeju or a meal before your flight on the last day.

A fish feast with the Appa Set for three

We ordered the Appa Set for three: mackerel and hairtail for the grilled fish, hairtail for the braised fish, and kimchi stew and soft tofu stew for the stews.

You can see how nicely golden and grilled it is even in the photo, right? I could also catch that subtle grilled aroma.

The fish was large and had thick flesh. It was grilled beautifully, and the tender meat was savory with a pleasant saltiness!

Because it was par-grilled over charcoal, placing the moist fish flesh over warm rice was absolutely heavenly, haha. The bubbling braise included refreshing daikon radish along with the hairtail. Braised fish has a charm quite different from grilled fish. The seasoning was so appealing that mixing rice into the braising sauce was excellent too!

Having a spoonful of spicy broth while eating grilled fish made the fish-and-stew combination feel so perfect! Bubbling away—such a delicious stew. 〰️

With grilled fish, braised fish, and stew all on the table, one bowl of rice disappeared in no time. 🤤
