The beef in the soup was well-boiled and tender with no gamey smell, and the beef pancake soaked in broth had absorbed all that umami, making it even softer and more savory. There was so much beef and beef pancake that I was satisfied down to the very last spoonful. Anyone with a big appetite could get pleasantly stuffed with the XL size ♡⃛

Hobakjeon squash pancake: crisp outside, soft inside, perfect with gukbap

The squash pancake I ordered on the side also lived up to expectations as an excellent extra. Fried fresh on the griddle right when ordered, it arrived at the table still steaming.

The first bite was a textbook example of crispy outside, soft inside.

The naturally sweet juice of the squash combined beautifully with the savory egg coating. It was light and not at all greasy, making it the perfect pairing with the rich, spicy gukbap (๑˙ꄃ˙๑)♡⃛

The location right by Hongdae station Exit 2, plus the spacious, clean interior, made for a perfect setup. On top of the owner's warm service, the biggest strength is that you can enjoy the same care-filled, freshly fried pancakes via takeout and delivery as you would eating in.
