After drinking solo in front of Gwangalli Beach, I wanted one more easy drink, so I visited Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2, a great beer bar in Gwangalli. It had such a low-pressure atmosphere for visiting alone too 🙋♀️

How they manage their Sapporo draft beer

Ganppa Beer, a Gwangalli bar known for its beer, collaborates with Sapporo, and the draft beer quality was seriously on another level 🍺 Even I, someone who doesn't know much about beer, could tell how good it was, so beer lovers definitely won't regret visiting.

• Kegs are used up within 24 hours
• Poured to preserve each keg's natural freshness
• Uses ultra-thin dedicated glasses, directly imported from Japan—the only ones of their kind in Korea
• Stored in a dedicated refrigerator for 24 hours
• Glasses are rinsed in ice water to remove any unwanted smell

With such systematic beer management and storage, I could drink draft beer on a completely different level from ordinary draft beer.

The standing tachinomi atmosphere

It’s a standing bar like the ones you often see in Japan❗️ I was curious because they said it was tachinomi (a Japanese standing bar) style, where you drink standing up, and really, everyone was drinking on their feet 🫪 I was quietly disappointed that I hadn't gone to a tachinomi on my Japan trip, but who knew I'd get to try it on a trip to Busan... haha

I took a spot at the bar in front of the kitchen, so I could watch the cooking too! With the open kitchen, I could feel that they paid attention to kitchen hygiene as well.

A light second-round order

Ganppa Special Tebasaki Set (₩26,900), Chicken Skin Seaweed Set (₩25,900), and Spicy-Sweet Gyoza Addiction Set (₩24,900). Except for the set menus that include two glasses of Sapporo draft beer, every snack at this good-value Gwangalli bar costs under ₩10,000 🫣

There were lots of snacks that are nice for eating lightly, so I recommend it as an easy Gwangalli bar for a second round 🙌 Since I was there for a second round too, I wanted something light and ordered Ganppa Special Cucumber Addiction and one Sapporo draft beer. ✔️ Food orders aren't required, so I highly recommend it to anyone who just wants a simple beer without snacks❣️

Travel photos, even on my own

While waiting for my order, I worked hard at taking photos in Ganppa Beer's photo zone ✨ There was also a receipt photo booth inside, so it was perfect for spending time alone while still getting that travel feeling.

I really enjoy traveling alone, but it can be hard to take photos by yourself, which is a bit of a shame. Being able to leave myself photos at a travel destination like this made the time even more precious 🫶

Sapporo draft beer in a cold ultra-thin glass

While I was taking photos and having fun alone, my Sapporo draft beer was ready 💛 Fresh, smooth Sapporo draft beer poured into a chilled ultra-thin glass rinsed in 0°C ice water! It tasted just like the draft beer I had in Japan, on a completely different level from draft beer I've had in Korea. I also loved how the thin glass delivered the cold beer straight to my mouth ❄️

A cucumber snack for when you're full

Ganppa Special Cucumber Addiction was exactly the right snack when I was already full 🥒 If I'd come with my cucumber-hating boyfriend, I would have gotten an earful over this menu, but for a cucumber-loving person, there is no better snack lolㅠㅠ Honestly, I have a very Korean middle-aged-man palate and had only eaten cucumbers dipped in ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste) as a soju snack, but the crunchy cucumber with the spicy, savory Japanese-style sauce went so well with beer too??

Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 was a great Gwangalli spot for drinking solo in a comfortable atmosphere without worrying about anyone, away from the bustle of Gwangalli Beach. I’d recommend it as a Gwangalli second-round bar with delicious draft beer, whether you visit alone or with a group.
