Suyeong café brunch with Gwangan Bridge views: Working Holiday Minrak

In short

Working Holiday Minrak is a brunch café in Suyeong, Busan, with views of Gwangan Bridge and the sea from the seventh floor. I tried the 24,000 won Big Brekkie and 17,000 won handmade-dough panuozzo, and the window-wall view and chewy dough stood out. Verdict: a great pick for a hearty ocean-view brunch in Gwangalli.

I had been to the Gwangalli branch before, so I already knew the food was good, but this was my first visit to the Minrak branch.

First visit to Working Holiday Minrak

To give away the conclusion first, the view did all the work here. With an open view of Gwangalli Beach and the sea, this was a Gwangalli brunch café that would make a perfectly good date spot for couples, too.

Gwangan Bridge views through floor-to-ceiling windows

The moment I walked in, the expansive Gwangan Bridge view beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows caught my eye. Sunlight streamed through the windows over the blue sea, and quite a few international guests filled the seats, creating such an exotic feeling that I almost thought I had traveled to an overseas resort.

The whole café was full of energy and life, and simply sitting there looking out at the sea felt naturally restorative. The view itself was so perfect that it needed no elaborate description; I kept pressing the camera shutter the entire time 🙂

Along with brunch, there were pizza, pasta, coffee, wine, and ade drinks, so it more than lived up to being a brunch café.

What parking support is available?

A purchase of ₩10,000 or more gets you one hour, with support for up to four hours a day, which felt very generous. Customers who sign up for notifications also receive a one-hour coupon. Parking support in Gwangalli is genuinely precious 👍🏻

The new panuozzo and signature Big Brekkie

The Big Brekkie, a signature brunch platter, is ₩24,000. Centered on a buttery croissant, it comes generously loaded with soft scrambled eggs, savory sausage and bacon, and avocado, often called the butter of the forest. Fresh greens including romaine, kale, and arugula, plus cherry tomatoes and nutty nuts, come together for lots of different textures on one plate. A reliably good menu, as you would expect from a brunch specialist.

Chewy handmade-dough panuozzo

The panuozzo, a handmade-dough sandwich with corn soup, is ₩17,000. This Italian-style sandwich is filled generously with jambon ham made from fresh pork foreleg and pleasantly bitter arugula between chewy pizza dough mixed in-house.

What impressed me most was the quality of the bread. The pizza dough, shaped and baked in-house, was crisp outside, chewy inside, and had a deep, toasty flavor. It tasted wholesome while being very filling. The soft corn soup alongside it was rich and nutty, too.

Because of the preparation process, the panuozzo cannot be made without nuts, so anyone with a nut allergy should be sure to check before ordering.

A brunch time spent looking at the sea

Just eating good food while taking in the blue sea outside the window and the grand bridge was enough to make it feel like I had had a wonderful day. This is a Gwangalli brunch café where you can enjoy a proper meal amid cheerful energy.

There is no need to dress it up in fancy words: the open ocean view alone makes it well worth visiting. If you want to relax by the sea on a weekend afternoon, or are looking for an atmospheric place for a date with polished brunch in an exotic mood, I would recommend it without hesitation. Thanks to the chewy pizza dough and the Gwangan Bridge view unfolding right before me, this was a visit I will remember for a long time 😊
