Bakery time schedule and hidden courtyard terrace: Low & Sweet Bakery

In short

Low & Sweet Bakery is a roastery bakery café on Haeri-dan-gil in Haeundae, Busan. From 8am, egg tarts and canelés lead a staggered bakery schedule, and salt bread, three lavender-style cookies, and an Americano can be enjoyed on a hidden inner courtyard terrace tucked behind the shop. Two very different terraces — an open outdoor one and a quiet inner courtyard — are the biggest reason to visit.

The outdoor terrace and shop atmosphere

Even before you step inside, and definitely once you do, Low & Sweet Bakery pulls you in with its particular cozy, exotic charm.

The open outdoor terrace out front is the signature photo spot and prime seating at Low & Sweet Bakery. Wood-toned tables and chairs paired with an emotive sign make even passersby turn their heads. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee in the sun with a cool breeze.

Step inside and you're greeted by a warm, cozy mood created by wood tones and soft lighting. The nutty smell of coffee beans and freshly baked bread fills the space so completely that just sitting there feels healing.

The hidden inner courtyard terrace

The real charm of Low & Sweet Bakery is the hidden terrace you can reach by walking through the shop and out the back! While the outdoor terrace in front feels open and lively, this inner terrace is wrapped in walls and plants, giving it a much quieter, cozier feel.

If you want something private and serene, I highly recommend grabbing a seat on the inner terrace.

I loved the warm-toned bean batching area and the tasteful BGM playing from the speakers.

Thanks to the cute vintage props and warm wooden interior, it feels comfortable and unpretentious no matter when you visit.

How do the egg tart, salt bread, and cookies taste?

The egg tart has a crisp tart shell packed generously with soft, golden-baked custard filling!

Salt Bread

The outside is golden and crisp, while the inside pulls apart in soft, moist layers — it's excellent. Bite in and the nutty butter flavor packed inside bursts richly in your mouth.

Cross-section of salt bread showing the butter hole

The depth of the butter hole is a work of art. Tear the bread open and a rich aroma pours out. The bottom is fried almost oily and crisp with butter, while the top is soft and pillowy!

Cookies (Chocolate / Nuts Cookies)

Low & Sweet Bakery's cookies aren't the thin, crisp kind — they're thick, heavy American lavender-style cookies. Slightly crunchy outside and chewy, dense inside — the texture is fantastic.

Lavender-style cookie loaded with chocolate and nuts

Generously loaded with big chunks of top-grade chocolate and nuts, they deliver rich, luxurious sweetness and nutty crunch in every bite!! The nutty flavors blend harmoniously, making them incredible paired with a bitter espresso or a heavy latte.

Americano

The Americano uses specially roasted beans that balance heavy nuttiness with just the right acidity, finishing bitter yet clean!
