It's an easy walk between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, so I'd recommend it as a Gangnam Station waxing spot or a Sinnonhyeon Station waxing salon.

Super Waxing Gangnam is on the 3rd floor. I visited because I heard the director, who studied sculpture, does thorough waxing treatments —

and the interior was compact but clean! Nicely decorated with a lot of character haha.

There was also a neatly maintained cleansing area inside for use before the treatment.

Pre-treatment consultation and treatment room vibe

Brazilian waxing — essential for trips or hygiene management! When I arrived, they first walked me through some basic pre-treatment questions and precautions. I'm not new to waxing, but if it's your first time, you can get a thorough consultation beforehand so there's nothing to worry about haha. The price is reasonable too, and booking through Naver Reservation is convenient..!

There's a cute stuffed animal in the treatment room. If you feel tense or think it might hurt, you can grab onto this one haha. The skirt you change into is only worn once per person, so it's kept nice and clean.

Lycon Pinky wax at no extra charge

Super Waxing Gangnam uses Lycon wax, a waxing brand specialized out of Australia.

The pink Lycon Pinky wax feels soft and stretchy, and it's a low-pain formula so it's supposedly good for sensitive skin too. It contains mica, argan oil, and calendula flower extract, making it one of Lycon's premium lines — and the nice part is that Super Waxing Gangnam uses this low-pain Lycon Pinky wax with no extra charge haha. Since it's a product applied directly to the body, the quality really matters.

They sterilized thoroughly before the treatment, and the tips used for waxing are disposable, so I didn't have to worry about hygiene even for sensitive areas.

Brazilian waxing treatment review

Waxing really depends on the technician's hand skills, so treatment speed and thoroughness matter a lot. This time I got a Brazilian wax, and I feel like Brazilian waxing especially depends a lot on who's doing it.

Since it had been a while since my last wax, some spots were a bit painful, but the technician told me in advance which areas would hurt more and checked in on my pain level along the way, so I could get through it without tensing up.

What I personally liked most was how fast the director's hands were! The overall hair removal took about 15 minutes, and she even cleanly removed spots with ingrown hairs.

Finishing with a soothing pack and ingrown hair spray

They're running an event where you get a soothing pack if you leave a short receipt review, so I got one applied as a finishing touch. Putting the pack on the areas that were temporarily reddened from waxing felt really good for the heat — the service was top-notch.

Finish it off with a spray of Lycon's ingrown hair spray, which is antibacterial and helps prevent ingrown hairs — and that's it! I felt like they paid attention right down to the last step. The treatment is fast yet thorough, so it doesn't hurt much — a great Gangnam Station waxing salon. With waxing, I think the longer the treatment drags on, the harder it is on the person receiving it.
