Wavy hair + frizz + dryness.... that's basically the total chaos of my hair these days lol. Especially no matter how carefully I dry it, flyaways pop up everywhere and the whole thing looks dull, so this time I tried the Cinderella Clinic at Koara Haircare, a hair salon near Gangnam Station.

Honestly I've had a fair number of hair clinics done, so just having nice-looking hair right after the treatment doesn't impress me much anymore. Because... you know that moment when you go home, shampoo once, and your old hair is suddenly back? Haha, we all know that feeling right?

But this Cinderella Clinic has kept my hair calmer than before even about a week after the treatment, so I'm genuinely satisfied with this one :) Let me write out the process honestly from the start.

What exactly is the Cinderella Clinic?

What I got was the Cinderella Clinic. Just from the name... Cinderella? Does my hair suddenly turn into princess hair lol. Simply put, think of it as an intensive hair clinic focused on smoothing out dry, frizzy, damaged hair into something sleek and calm. Worth considering if, like me, your hair is dry or gets frizzy easily because of natural waves!

I naturally have wavy hair. On top of that there's dryness and damage, so when I wash and dry it, instead of falling calmly overall it goes frizzy and rough.

It gets especially bad on humid days or when I don't dry it properly. Since my hair is long, the dryness was even more noticeable toward the ends.

STEP 1. Shampoo to open the cuticle

First off, shampooing! I was told this step cleanses the hair thoroughly so the clinic product can be applied effectively.

After shampooing, my hair was dried and then the Cinderella Clinic product was carefully applied to all of my hair. The director herself handled my treatment that day, applying the product section by section. Since my hair is long... even applying it is a whole job, haha.

STEP 3. Heat processing for 10 minutes

Once the product was applied, it was about 10 minutes of heat processing.

STEP 4. Drying + brush drying

Next, my hair was dried with a hair dryer. Then, using a brush, it was smoothed straight while drying! This is where the hair I could see in the mirror slowly started to change. Since I have wavy hair, normally after drying I get flyaways and overall volume, but it was gradually getting calmer... oh?ㅋ

STEP 5. Finishing with a flat iron

The last step was heat processing with a flat iron. I was told this step helps the protein in the Cinderella Clinic settle properly into the hair. And once this step was done....

The change was really the biggest visually. My hair had this glossy shine and the angel ring under the lights was no joke. But when I touched it? Honestly, at first it felt a bit stiff.

Touching it right after the treatment, it was a bit different from the soft, silky clinic hair I expected. They explained that because protein is bonded onto the hair, it can feel a little heavy and slightly firm at first.
