Why hair dyed once a month ended up at Park Jun Beauty Lab in Gangnam

I got a Shiseido clinic treatment from designer Yeeun at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch. I dye my hair once a month...? So my hair is seriously wrecked, absolutely wrecked.

It got frizzy right after drying, and tangled so badly I couldn't even comb it — but this time I went to Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch for a Shiseido clinic! Here's my record of the treatment with designer Yeeun, and it was so good!

Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch is on the 2nd floor at 14 Gangnam-daero110-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It's 111m on foot from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 4, open daily 10:00–20:00. (Check the store notice for holiday closures like Chuseok.)

Among Gangnam hair salons, Park Jun Beauty Lab is on the larger side, and with the white-toned interior the space felt genuinely clean and bright ✨ It was the kind of place that put me in a good mood the moment I walked in!

The hair condition checklist before the treatment starts

My designer was Yeeun, and it turns out she's known for being genuinely great at clinic treatments 👀 People around me literally say if you have damaged hair, you have to book with Yeeun.

Before the treatment started I filled out a hair condition checklist, and she brought me a warm tea so waiting was comfortable! The checklist even asked detailed things down to my dye cycle and whether I'd had a perm. I was like, they ask this much?? — she was that thorough haha. We talked through anything I should keep in mind before going into the treatment.

First up was shampoo! They used disposable towels, very clean haha

The shampoo area was clean too, love that.

This is the state of my hair right after shampoo... can you tell? It was such an extremely-extremely dry wrecked mess it wouldn't even comb. And it's not because it was wet — it genuinely doesn't comb even normally.

Step 1: Out-Ca wrap with 5 minutes of heat

First step was Out-Ca!

After wrapping it, they did a 5-minute heat treatment!

While that was going, she asked what I wanted to drink — I had dinner plans so I asked for water. She even wrote a cute little note, which made me so happy haha

Uptense and Deep Smooth left on for 10 minutes

Next she mixed Uptense and Deep Smooth, applied it, and left it on for 10 minutes!

She applied it super meticulously. Pressing it in like this, over and over — she said it helps it penetrate better.

Infill, Wonder Shield and the Mask Truffle Layer with 5 minutes of steam

Then Infill and Wonder Shield went on.

A coating layer of Mask Truffle Layer went on, then 5 minutes of steam!

I kept dozing off during the steam...

Then a texture-improving Liveine treatment plus a Wonder Shield coating to finish! Even wet, my hair was actually combing through now!!!!!!

Two staff worked together on the finishing iron work! Counting up the steps, it was almost ten total — but honestly, even with that many, it was never boring. Designer Yeeun explained what each step was doing, so time flew by haha

And the results genuinely shocked me. Hair that wouldn't even comb before the treatment... afterward, it just swung loose the moment I ran my hand through it ㅠ_ㅠ so silky.

Wait, is this even possible??

I washed and dried it at home the next day and was surprised all over again that the shine held exactly the same ㅠㅠ Normally my hair goes frizzy again within an hour of drying, but this time it was genuinely different!!!!

There was even a photo booth machine in the store, so I took a solo shot before I left ^0^...

Is the Shiseido clinic at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam worth it?

For damaged hair care, I'd recommend designer Yeeun at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch! I've tried a bunch of Gangnam Station hair salons, and even when they all look similar on the surface, damage repair really comes down to the designer's skill.

If you're near Sinnonhyeon Station worrying about dye damage, I'd recommend getting the Shiseido clinic from designer Yeeun at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch 🙆‍♀️
