Sillim pet-friendly pizza restaurant for roe beef pizza: Pug Pizza House

In short

Pug Pizza House Sillim Branch is a pet-friendly pizza restaurant in Gwanak, Seoul, with a dedicated third-floor pet zone. I tried a half-and-half pizza with grilled pollock roe beef brisket and truffle shrimp scallop toppings, plus perilla-leaf Buldak rosé cheese pasta. A great pick for pizza and beer in a roomy space with your pet.

Today I’m leaving a review of Pug Pizza House Sillim Branch, a pet-friendly pizza restaurant by Sillim Station!

Introduction to a pet-friendly pizza restaurant near Sillim Station

The pet zone is separately located on the third floor, so it’s a comfortable place to dine with your dog.

  • Hours: 11:40 AM–10 PM

Finding Pug Pizza House from Sillim Station Exit 6

Walk straight for about three minutes from Exit 6 of Sillim Station and you’ll see it. They use the entire three-story building, so it’s super easy to spot from afar!

Pug entrance sculpture holding a pizza

Since it’s a pet-friendly pizza restaurant, there’s a huge pug sculpture at the entrance. It’s holding a pizza and is so cute that it would totally catch your eye even while passing by. All menu items are 30% off at weekday lunch, so it would be nice to come then for daytime drinks and pizza.

Stopping or parking in front of the restaurant isn’t allowed, so you’ll need to use a nearby paid parking lot. The nearby lot is at 1431-43 Sillim-dong: the first five minutes are free, then it’s ₩250 per five minutes, with a daily maximum of ₩25,000.

Different seating on every floor and the third-floor pet zone

I looked around starting from the first floor! There’s a waiting area, and the high ceiling makes the restaurant feel really open.

First-floor waiting area and high ceiling

Up on the second floor, there are even more seats. You can see outside nicely through the floor-to-ceiling windows. It seems like a great spot for pizza in the daylight, or for taking your time over the view in the evening.

Second-floor seating with floor-to-ceiling windows

If you’re visiting with a dog or cat, you can dine in the third-floor pet zone. Floors up to the second are non-pet areas, and because this is separate from the regular seating, you can dine comfortably with your dog.

The booth seats in particular are fully partitioned, so your dog can move around comfortably beside you. At the other seats, they have to stay on a chair, but here you could relax and enjoy your meal.

  • Pet-zone entry: dogs under 25 kg and under 50 cm in height
  • Entry is restricted for dogs that have not been vaccinated
  • Carry your dog when using the stairs

The self-service bar and choosing the menu

Forks, plates, wet wipes, pickles, and so on are self-service. There are also sauces that go nicely with pizza! Choose from ranch, garlic, corn butter, and chipotle according to your taste.

With a set order, you can save from ₩2,000 up to ₩8,000, making it a good-value way to enjoy several dishes.

There were so many pizza varieties that I took ages choosing! Check the topping combinations carefully before ordering. There are more distinctive menu items than you might expect, so satisfaction will probably vary quite a bit by taste.

Selection of pizza menu items

They also have pasta that pairs nicely with pizza, along with beer and non-alcoholic beer, so people who drove can enjoy a beer without 부담.

They have pet food that dogs can eat too—the names Woof Woof Chicken and Woof Pizza are so cute, right? Hahaha. I think I’d feel so proud watching my pup enjoy it +_+

Ordering half-and-half pizza and Buldak rosé pasta

The half-and-half pizza & pasta set was ₩34,900. I changed it to the 2–3 person pizza size and chose truffle shrimp scallop pizza, grilled pollock roe beef brisket, and perilla-leaf Buldak cheese rosé pasta.

This is the salad included with the set. It was crisp and fresh, so it paired well with the pizza.

Butter garlic fries received through a review event. They were really generous with the sauce, and it was deliciously sweet and salty, so I kept reaching for them.

Grilled pollock roe beef brisket pizza

This pizza combines the savory saltiness of pollock roe with crisp beef brisket beautifully. There’s plenty of perilla leaf on top, so it isn’t rich, and the sauce is slightly spicy, making it a flavor you won’t tire of.

Truffle shrimp scallop pizza

This pizza comes topped with pen shell scallops and shrimp. It has lots of katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes), so rather than a typical pizza, it felt a little like Japanese food? The combination was unfamiliar at first, but the slight spiciness kept it from feeling too rich.

The shrimp on the truffle shrimp scallop pizza are pretty big, right? While I was eating the beef brisket pizza, my boyfriend put some shrimp on mine. Pollock roe + beef brisket + shrimp together filled my mouth with such good flavor!!

Perilla-leaf Buldak rosé cheese pasta

Pizza feels incomplete without pasta, right? This pasta gets its kick from Buldak sauce. The perilla leaves, chicken thigh, and cheese tone down the bold flavor a little.

Pug Pizza House Sillim Branch is a spacious, comfortable restaurant where you can enjoy a variety of pizzas with beer. Since you can dine with dogs and cats, I recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed place to eat out with their pet.
