Night pizza and beer at Sillim, truffle shrimp scallop pizza: Pug

I used to pass by near Dangok Station and noticed 'Pug Pizza House Sillim Branch' when it was brand new — a pizza place with a hip exterior and great vibe that I really wanted to check out. Finally made it here.

What surprised me most was that it's a pet-friendly pizza restaurant! They even have a dog menu and dog strollers ready, which seems especially great for dog owners.

The pizza selection is diverse and the set menus are well put together, so it's easy to enjoy several things together. Here's my honest review of tonight's healing session with pizza and draft beer after work 💟

Pug Pizza House Sillim Branch is a quick walk from Sillim Station Exit 6. Doesn't the exterior have a bit of an overseas pub feel? I visited at night, and with the lights on outside, the atmosphere looked even better ✨

📢 They're running a discount event for writing a Naver review if you dine in, and there's a ₩3,000 discount per pizza for takeout, so if you're getting it to go, keep that in mind!

At the entrance to Pug Pizza House there was a cute pug character — eating pizza, so cute haha. It felt like a bit of a photo zone, so I snapped one ☺️

Pizza with your dog: the whole 3rd floor is a pet zone

Pug Pizza House uniquely runs the entire 3rd floor as a separate pet zone. It's rare to find restaurants that even allow pets in the first place, so being able to eat pizza with your pet like this feels like a special advantage that's unique to Pug Pizza House. That said, the pet zone has usage guidelines, so I'd recommend checking before you visit ⭐️

Restaurant atmosphere and kiosk takeout

Walking into the restaurant, the pizza-house feel really comes through everywhere. And looking at the walls, there were quite a few celebrity signatures, so it was fun to see who had stopped by.

If you're getting takeout, order at the kiosk near the entrance. The ₩3,000 discount is applied automatically, so check it out! Next to the kiosk they had pizza boxes set up so you can compare sizes. To give you a sense of scale, I compared one against my hand ~~

The half-and-half pizza & side set for ₩30,900

When dining in, ordering a set menu gets you a better price than ordering items individually! I love butter garlic potatoes so much, so this time I ordered the half-and-half pizza & side set (₩30,900).

With so many pizza varieties, ordering half-and-half to enjoy two flavors instead of picking just one flavor seems like a great idea. I went with whole corn double bacon and truffle shrimp scallop for my half-and-half pizza. They also have pasta and gnocchi on the menu, not just pizza. A pizza place selling gnocchi too — I want to try the gnocchi set next time.

Pizza just isn't complete without draft beer, right? So I ordered a large Budweiser 🍺

Wal Pizza, Wal Wal Chicken, Wal Wal Wal Sweet Potato Bread — aren't these names just too cute? I sometimes feel a little guilty eating something delicious while my dog watches, so having a dog menu prepared too is definitely appealing for dog owners (*Ü*)

My half-and-half pizza & side set arrived. I started with the salad appetizer first, which came with balsamic dressing — nice and light before digging into the pizza.

Whole corn double bacon & truffle shrimp scallop pizza

Doesn't the pizza look so appetizing?! The moment it hit the table, the aroma really hit me and it smelled amazing. The truffle shrimp scallop pizza in particular had bonito flakes on top, giving off a takoyaki-like scent too.

Self-bar sauces and packing up the leftover pizza

At the self-bar, there were basic utensils like plates and forks, plus pickles and a variety of sauces. It was great to grab whatever suited my taste 😋 There were also aprons and takeout boxes and bags for packing up leftovers. I had a big appetite that day but two pizza slices were left, so I packed them up myself. Being able to take leftovers home like this instead of just leaving them behind — I personally really liked that!

I love sauces so much that I grabbed several kinds and tried them one by one. I dipped the whole corn double bacon pizza in garlic dipping sauce — garlic dipping sauce is forever my love 👍 Among the others, I personally liked ranch best, while my friend said chipotle was tastier. I guess sauce preference really comes down to personal taste.

Pizza with a cold draft beer was so refreshing and paired perfectly. I also ordered smoked BBQ buffalo wings (₩6,800) on top — the wings are delicious on their own, but dipped in chipotle sauce they're spicy and go perfectly together ⭐️
