The day we craved sashimi and soju in Magoknaru

Last weekend, I went on a date in Magok for the first time in ages! We were craving sashimi and soju sooo badly, so we visited Singsing Hoe Susan Sijang Magoknaru Station Direct Branch!! Haha, and it was even more delicious than we expected. Look at those super-fresh fish out front.

Ordering sashimi and side dishes

At Singsing Hoe Susan Sijang, the prices are laid out so neatly! There was flounder, rockfish, and salmon, of course, plus wild mullet, flounder sashimi, red seabream, and sea bass too >,<<

At Singsing Hoe, you can order sashimi alone or sashimi with sseukkidasi (Korean side dishes served with sashimi)! The sseukkidasi includes clam soup, dressed raw fish salad, corn cheese, tofu kimchi, albap (fish roe rice), fried shrimp, and more. The price difference is not huge, but there is so much variety, so I recommend adding it!!

A spacious restaurant where it was easy to talk

Restaurant seating with plastic-curtain outdoor-style tables

The inside of Singsing Hoe is sooo spacious. There are outdoor-style seats too, and they are enclosed with plastic curtains, which I actually liked even more. It would be great for groups as well. And despite being this big, it did not feel chaotic at all—it was really easy to have a conversation..

A full table of assorted sashimi and side dishes

We ordered the assorted sashimi (flounder + rockfish + salmon + spotted seabass) with sseukkidasi, haha. We started by mixing up the dressed raw fish salad that arrived so nicely >.<

White kimchi, tofu kimchi, and clam soup arrived in equally generous fashion too.. Honestly, this alone could have made a whole meal...

Assorted flounder, rockfish, salmon, and spotted seabass sashimi

At last, the sashimi made its entrance 🐠🐟 We wondered whether the portion might be small and considered ordering another dish, but I am so glad we did not! There was more than enough ♥ It was really nice to eat such a variety of fresh sashimi for ₩55,000. Such great value!!

Assorted sashimi with salmon tartare sauce

You know it is not easy to find a sashimi restaurant that thoughtfully gives you salmon tartare sauce as well as ssamjang dipping sauce. Well, that thoughtful restaurant is right here.. We ate loads of garlic too.

Cheers to sashimi ~ ♥ I was so excited because it had been forever since I last had sashimi and soju.. And Sung, whom I had not seen in two weeks, was there too 🙉

Steamed egg, fried shrimp, corn cheese, and sashimi side dishes

As we ate, more sseukkidasi kept arriving, haha—steamed egg, fried shrimp, corn cheese, and grilled mushrooms... Ahh.. everything was so delicious. A quick mix of the albap..

Before we knew it, we had cleared two bottles of soju. Absolutely demolished them without a trace. We were so full~~~ The small size is plenty for two people.

How was the ₩55,000 assorted sashimi set?

Overall, I was happy with both the freshness and the selection ꒰ ՞•ﻌ•՞ ꒱ The open, spacious atmosphere was impressive from the moment we walked in, and the outdoor-style seats would make it a nice place to visit with a group too. I also loved that it was not overly noisy and was easy to talk in.

The assorted sashimi, packed with flounder, rockfish, salmon, and spotted seabass, was thick-cut and fresh with a satisfying chew. The sseukkidasi was equally substantial, with clam soup, dressed raw fish salad, and albap, making sashimi plus side dishes the perfect combination. The salmon tartare sauce especially stood out as a detail other places do not often provide ◠ ̫ ◠ It is even open really late..! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a bar or sashimi restaurant in Magoknaru that stays open into the early hours.

For ₩55,000, I thought this was absolutely worth recommending as a great-value sashimi restaurant in Magoknaru. It is an easy, no-pressure choice for dates as well as group gatherings. Singsing Hoe Susan Sijang is the kind of place I will think of again when I want sashimi and soju in Magoknaru ⋆ ₊ ゚ ☽ * ₊
