My husband and I ordered three dishes: the spicy cream risotto, the spicy bulgogi tomato pasta, and the rosé pork cutlet.

Cement Hannam-daebonjeom doesn't have a separate basic side-dish spread — we went to the self-serve bar and grabbed pickles and such ourselves.

The spicy cream bulgogi risotto arrived looking thick and creamy just from the visual alone. It's the signature dish at Cement Hannam-daebonjeom.

The cream was so thick it practically stuck together the moment it hit my mouth — really appealing. The bulgogi mixed into the risotto had a nice grilled aroma and tasted great too.

It's a spicy yet deep, rich cream sauce I've never tasted anywhere else — I wanted to take some home with me.

No argument that this is the signature dish at Cement Hannam-daebonjeom — anyone who loves cream sauce will love this without exception.

Spicy bulgogi tomato pasta, 9,500 won — add extra red pepper

The spicy bulgogi tomato pasta arrived — a signature dish with tomato sauce, cheese and bulgogi.

Rather than a typical tomato sauce pasta, it had a slightly Korean-inflected spicy note, and though the sauce wasn't super thick, it soaked into the pasta beautifully and tasted great.

This pasta has a mysterious charm that keeps your fork going back for more. The harmony of sauce, bulgogi and pasta is just art.

If you want it spicier, sprinkle on some red pepper flakes for extra kick. I added the flakes and it tasted even better.

Rosé pork cutlet, 11,500 won — served with karaage

The rosé pork cutlet arrived — pork cutlet and karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken) topped with rosé sauce and cheese.

A meeting of crispy pork cutlet and rich rosé sauce. Coating it well in sauce gave a delicious balance of crispy and moist.

The rosé pork cutlet was delicious with the risotto, on its own, or eaten with rice — it paired really well with rice.

Crispy pork cutlet, thick rosé sauce and rice — the balance of carbs, protein and fat came together nicely and it was full of flavor.

The moist chicken leg meat in the karaage that came with the pork cutlet was really delicious.

You have to order the rosé pork cutlet at Cement Hannam-daebonjeom. It's really that good.
