You absolutely cannot let this outdoor-table season slip by .. the ice age is coming soon ..
This was already a group that had wrecked Manseon Hof in Euljiro and moved to Sangbong for round two. Seriously, why are there so many people from Jongno and Euljiro? Baseline wait was 200 parties so we couldn't get in anywhere;
But?!! Sangbong has that outdoor-table vibe without being too packed, so it's great. And the atmosphere was just so good ...... I'd always thought someday I'd do an outdoor table in Sangbong, and today I finally did it, hehe
What are the outdoor tables in the Sangbong food alley like?
The Sangbong food alley, where Super Naengsam Sangbong Main Branch sits, is a neighborhood where the outdoor tables fill up first on a nice evening. Huff huff, of course when the weather's good everyone floods to the outdoor tables ... can you see how packed it is? No seats;;
If Jongno is more of a 20s-30s vibe, here feels more like 30s-50s ..? Heh.. quieter, haha. I used to come here a lot but once Line 8 opened everyone started going to Jamsil and Gangnam only, so it's been a while
Of the many outdoor-table spots, the one we visited was none other than Super Naengsam! You can spot the sign even from far away?!!
There's a spacious interior too, but in this weather, eating outside is the romantic move, haha. Some other guests who'd been eating outside had just left, so they cleared the table for us right away, squeal squeal

Naengsam for ₩9,900, no way ~~ Since you need at least 3 servings we ordered 3 servings of naengsam, doenjang jjigae, soju and beer. Honestly, having already had a first round, we seriously debated whether to get fried rice or Hangang ramyeon
Tons of drink options too, and note the aprons, wifi, and restroom code! There were even baby chairs so the little one sat and ate just fine
Extra side dishes are self-service, and oh my god look at that Hangang ramyeon lineup .. first time I've seen a place with both Buldak and Jjashuran;; truly enlightened people .. even bibim noodles, so tempting

I originally wanted Jinro but Dad said if I'm drinking Jinro I'm drinking it alone, so we ordered Chamisul instead lol. Does it even taste different? ㅠ
The side dishes are solid too. Bean sprouts, minari (water dropwort), kimchi, green onion kimchi, pickled onions, lettuce wraps — a full spread that pairs perfectly with naengsam ..
The vibe was seriously unreal ~~~~~~ mixing soju and beer before the meat's even done grilling .. cool breeze blowing .. so happy ..
The doenjang jjigae was seriously delicious lol. Order it right now, everyone ..

Haaaaah.. is this what happiness feels like ...? Naengsam cooks fast, which is great — straight into your mouth, heh
They add minari too .. and how do they know that trick of tearing kimchi lengthwise, I'm genuinely touched ..

Delicious with minari, delicious wrapped in kimchi, delicious in a lettuce wrap too — so, so good, I'm tearing up
How big is the self-made fried rice portion?
Super Naengsam's fried rice is self-cooked?!!! They chop minari on top too. Ugh, I regret debating over the Hangang ramyeon and not getting it
Seriously, my mom's got some fried-rice skills;; and we only ordered one portion of fried rice but the amount was huge. Plus the touch of shaping it into a heart ... yes, I love you too ~~❤️
How much did the whole meal cost?
3 servings of naengsam, doenjang jjigae, soju and beer — all together came to under ₩50,000. Seriously, what kind of value is this?!!!!!!!!!!! Do note the country of origin info too. I didn't use the restroom so no photo of that, sorry
Oh, and the fabric spray or whatever it was here smelled amazing, but I forget what it was and didn't get a photo. Such a shame ㅠㅠ
