Guwol-dong grill house: 86,000-won Premium Ugalbi Set, Sip Sam Dae
In short
Sip Sam Dae is a grill house in Guwol-dong, Namdong, Incheon, behind the Gachon University Gil Hospital emergency room, specializing in 13-day aged ugalbi (thick beef ribs). Two of us ordered the Premium Ugalbi Set (86,000 won) and the staff grilled the ugalbi and pork belly for us, ending with doenjang sulbap (soybean-paste rice), plus homemade cream cheese on the house. A vent built into the center of the grill keeps the air clear and the face across the table in full view, so Sip Sam Dae works for both team dinners and dates.

I was out near Guwol-dong recently and heard about a place that's been getting a lot of buzz for its quality beef and aged ugalbi. The meat lived up to the hype, and the service and interior were just as satisfying, so I wanted to share an honest review. This is Sip Sam Dae (십삼대) in Guwol-dong.

Where is Sip Sam Dae, and where do you park?
Sip Sam Dae is at 32 Injudae-ro 623beon-gil, 1st floor, Namdong-gu, Incheon, right behind the emergency room of Gachon University Gil Hospital. It's open Mon–Sun 11:30–22:30, with a break time from 14:00–16:00 and last order at 21:30.
- Parking: available in the building's basement lot or the lot behind the restaurant
- Park in front or in the lot and call the restaurant — they'll open the basement barrier for you
- If full, the paid Guwol parking lot 2 minutes away on foot is recommended
Inside Sip Sam Dae: a vent in the middle of every grill

Stepping inside, you're greeted by a clean, pleasant space. With comfortable sofa seating and generous spacing between tables, it looked great for group meals, work dinners, or family gatherings.
One thing that really impressed me was the vent built right into the center of each grill table! Unlike most barbecue restaurants where a big vent hood hangs down from above, here you can clearly see the face of whoever's sitting across from you, and no shadows fall over your photos. It made the whole meal really comfortable.
Sip Sam Dae menu: what's in each set and what it costs

True to its name, 'Sip Sam Dae' (meaning 'thirteen generations,' also a nod to the 13 days of aging), the menu features ugalbi aged carefully for 13 days, plus wagyu, hanwoo, and Iberico black pork. You can order à la carte, but the set menu — which includes ugalbi, pork belly, pork neck, and doenjang sulbap — looked like excellent value. (Note: if you leave a Naver review, you can also get a complimentary house wine or homemade cream cheese!)
Premium Ugalbi, ₩86,000. We ordered the restaurant's signature Premium Ugalbi Set. It comes with savory doenjang sulbap included, so at this price the value is really excellent.

It comes with savory doenjang sulbap included, and for this quality and quantity, the price is genuinely great value. The meat arrived right after we ordered — being premium aged ribs, the color and marbling were stunning. Even writing this now, my mouth is watering. It was plenty of food for two people to eat until fully satisfied.

Side dishes at Sip Sam Dae: free refills on the potato salad
The side dishes were pretty standard, similar to other barbecue restaurants, but this potato salad was so good I asked for a refill.

Grilling service: the staff cook the meat at your table
Once the main ugalbi and beef came out, a staff member carefully grilled the meat right on our table. Watching it turn golden brown while giving off that savory aroma made my mouth water automatically. Since they grilled it to the perfect doneness with expert hands, we just had to sit back, wait, and eat — which was really nice.

How does the 13-day aged ugalbi taste?
I tried a piece of the golden-brown 13-day aged ugalbi plain first, without any dip, and the moment it hit my mouth, the juices burst out and the meat just melted away. Paired with the side dishes and a touch of wasabi or salt, the savoriness deepens even more. Definitely try wrapping it in different combinations!

The thick-cut pork belly included in the set
The Ugalbi Set also comes with pork belly, and the pork quality was excellent too. Grilled so the outside was crispy and the inside stayed juicy, we enjoyed it deliciously right to the end.

Finishing the meal with doenjang sulbap
Just as we were finishing the meat, the doenjang sulbap included in the set arrived. The savory broth was packed with the meat that had been clinging to the rib bones, giving it a deep flavor. It cut through the richness from the meat while still being filling, making for a perfect end to the meal.
On our way out, the owner and staff even handed us sugar-free candy — their thoughtful hospitality made for a great meal from start to finish.

The homemade cream cheese served on the house
That day, the owner gave us a homemade cream cheese on the house, and it was genuinely amazing — the kind of thing that could easily go through two bottles of soju! Not greasy at all, just savory, so even though we were full, I kept reaching for more. I almost wished they sold it as a regular menu item so I could order it separately.
From the moment we walked in until we left, I was touched by how much care went into every bit of service, and I'm planning to come back soon with my parents. Ate until I was completely stuffed today too, haha.
