Korean beef for two in Seongsu: brisket with cold noodles, Marblejeong
In short
Marblejeong is a 1++ Korean beef and wine-aged Korean pork grill restaurant in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, right in front of Ttukseom Station. Two friends booked a table and ordered the 1++ Korean beef mixed grill 400g (159,000 won) — sirloin, brisket and flank — which the server grilled at the table, along with brisket doenjang stew (12,000 won) and bibim naengmyeon (7,000 won) to finish. Wrapping a slice of brisket around the spicy cold noodles was the best bite of the night at Marblejeong.

Today I'm bringing you a review of Marblejeong (마블정), a Korean beef restaurant near Ttukseom that feels almost like a beef omakase!! I booked a table with a friend and went, and the freshness of the meat was honestly insane... lol

Where Marblejeong is and what it feels like, right by Ttukseom Station
Marblejeong is at 57 Seongsuil-ro, 2nd floor, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, right in front of Ttukseom Station — a Korean beef and wine-aged Korean pork belly specialty restaurant. Being right at the station made it perfect to hit up after work 🚙
You can see the wet-aging meats aging right there in front. The vibe was really upscale too, great for enjoying a calm meal! It gave off a bit of a Korean beef omakase feel haha

How to book a private room for 2, 4 or 6 people
Marblejeong assigns private rooms for 2, 4, or 6 people for small-group bookings! I feel like enjoying 1++ Korean beef in one of these rooms would be amazing for a proposal or a special date with your partner >.< Make sure to book ahead on Naver to get assigned a room 🤎

Since Marblejeong is a Korean beef specialist, I'd recommend the 1++ Korean beef mixed grill! They also have Korean pork belly and pork neck, so keep that in mind haha (also... the doenjang stew here is amazing too!!!!)

The 1++ Korean beef mixed grill 400g, shared by two
We ordered Marblejeong's 1++ mixed grill 400g (₩159,000), and it came out as a set of sirloin+brisket+flank+asparagus+mushrooms! From the plating alone you could see the marbling — it was truly a work of art... this is where the name Marblejeong comes from, more on that later 😋

Which sauces and side dishes come with the beef
The default lineup of sauces and side dishes was also really solid!
- Sauces: perilla leaf pesto, special soy sauce, wasabi, ssamjang, salt
- Side dishes: mustard leaf kimchi, dongchimi (radish water kimchi), wild garlic leaves, pickled cucumber
- Salad: dressed lettuce + vegetable salad
Especially the perilla leaf pesto and wild garlic leaves paired amazingly with the meat! It kept refreshing your palate so you never felt greasy...?! This is exactly why side dishes matter at a Korean BBQ place 🤍

Tableside grilling: the server cooks every cut
At Marblejeong, the servers grilled everything for us from start to finish — they'd grill it, step away, and come back once we finished to grill a refill! They didn't hover the whole time, so we could chat comfortably while eating haha. Honestly this would be great for an anniversary date with your boyfriend...🩷

They started with the sirloin, cutting it all up and setting it in front of us so all we had to do was eat happily ☺️ The doneness was seriously perfect, wasn't it?!?!!? First bite with salt, then wasabi... plus wild garlic leaves, the special soy sauce and more — so many sauces, it was great!

They stepped out again briefly, and right as we finished the sirloin, they came back and grilled the flank next. It looked so tender just looking at it, honestly made my mouth water
They also grilled asparagus, mushrooms and potatoes alongside, which honestly felt like eating steak! There's even a single-portion menu, so you could totally come here for a Korean beef omakase experience near Ttukseom haha

The tender, juicy, soft flank and brisket.... wrapped in veggies, or with wild garlic leaves and perilla pesto on top 🩷🩷

Brisket doenjang stew and cold noodles to finish
Marblejeong's brisket doenjang stew is ₩12,000, and the dessert water or bibim naengmyeon are ₩7,000 each. Koreans really do run on rice, lol. Even when I'm eating meat I always want stew and rice alongside 🖤 I thought ₩12,000 for doenjang stew seemed kind of pricey at first — but once I saw the portion and presentation, I totally got it. lol

The brisket doenjang stew comes out seriously generous. There's meat in it and a huge amount of vegetables, plenty enough to share between 3-4 people!!!
The naengmyeon (cold noodles) had properly icy broth, so the soup itself was refreshing and full of umami, and the bibim naengmyeon sauce wasn't sweet, more spicy-style, so I kept going back for more!

Especially wrapping brisket together with bibim naengmyeon is such a golden combo... highly recommend. I really want to eat this combo again ㅠㅠ

The meat being great goes without saying, but with the doenjang stew and dessert naengmyeon too, Marblejeong is just complete•••🖤

A quick look at the restrooms
Oh, and the restroom was seriously clean, even stocked with feminine hygiene products and mouthwash — you could feel the thoughtfulness lol. Details like this really matter! A Korean BBQ spot with a clean restroom is genuinely rare...
Who should book Marblejeong?
If you're in Ttukseom or Seongsu and want to properly enjoy 1++ Korean beef, if you're looking for a classy company dinner spot, or if you need a Korean beef restaurant for a proposal or group gathering, I highly recommend Marblejeong near Ttukseom 🤎
