Busan noodle restaurant with dumplings and bibim milmyeon: Yeongdong
In short
Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch is a milmyeon (cold wheat noodle) and pork soup restaurant on the second floor above a ground-floor Emart24 near Busan Station in Dong-gu, Busan. A large bibim milmyeon (9,000 won) with 10 dumplings (7,000 won) brought chewy noodles in a tangy-sweet sauce with a spicy finish, and dipping the dumplings into that sauce was the best part of the meal. Yeongdong Milmyeon works well as a lunch stop when you have awkward time left before a train.

When you're starting or ending a Busan trip, the big question near Busan Station is always what to eat? If you want a solid meal before hopping on the KTX, or you want something distinctly Busan the moment you arrive, milmyeon (cold wheat noodles) and dwaeji gukbap (pork soup) come to mind first. This time I visited Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch, close to Busan Station.

Since you can get both milmyeon and dwaeji gukbap in one place, it was easy to find as a Busan Station lunch spot. I ordered the large bibim milmyeon (spicy mixed noodles), dumplings, and a drink. Even from the photo you can tell the red sauce means business. Bottom line: chewy milmyeon plus dumplings on the side made for a really filling meal.
Where is Yeongdong Milmyeon? Right beside Busan Station
Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch sits not far from Busan Station. The big Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap sign is visible from outside the building, so it wasn't hard to find — and since the ground floor has an Emart24, using that as your landmark makes it even easier.
Near the entrance there's a large standing sign with photos of mul milmyeon, bibim milmyeon, dwaeji gukbap, and suyuk baekban, so first-time visitors can spot it easily.
More than anything, there are a lot of travelers rolling suitcases around Busan Station. Being able to eat right near the station without wandering into some alley was a big plus. It's a convenient stop whether you're grabbing your first meal after arriving in Busan or having lunch before catching a train.

Inside Yeongdong Milmyeon: clean and spacious
Going up to the 2nd floor, the inside was bigger than I expected. The overall wood-toned interior gave off a warm, tidy feel, and the wood frames and lighting neatly arranged on the ceiling made it feel a bit more polished than your typical gukbap joint.
Big windows let in natural light during the day, keeping things bright overall. The tables weren't cramped, with both regular tables for groups and window seats available. Solo travelers or people passing through Busan Station on business could easily eat alone by the window without feeling awkward.
During my visit, lunch customers kept streaming in. Given the location right at Busan Station, it seemed to draw not just travelers but also local office workers for lunch.

What's on the menu at this Busan Station noodle restaurant
As the name suggests, Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch's main offerings are milmyeon and dwaeji gukbap. Here's what the menu board I checked showed:
- Mul milmyeon (cold broth noodles): Small ₩8,000 / Large ₩9,000
- Bibim milmyeon (spicy mixed noodles): Small ₩8,000 / Large ₩9,000
- Dumplings, 10 pieces: ₩7,000
- Dwaeji gukbap (pork soup): ₩10,000
- Sundae gukbap (blood sausage soup): ₩10,000
- Suyuk baekban (boiled pork set meal): ₩13,000
- Suyuk (boiled pork): Small ₩29,000 / Large ₩39,000
- Rice: ₩1,000
For prices this reasonable near Busan Station, it's an easy place for a stress-free meal. It's also great when one person in your group wants milmyeon and another wants dwaeji gukbap — no need to argue over where to eat, since you can get two of Busan's signature dishes under one roof.

What I ordered: large bibim milmyeon and 10 dumplings
This time I went with the large bibim milmyeon + dumplings + a drink. Coming all the way to Busan, ordering just the regular size felt like a waste, so I upgraded to large. And since noodles alone felt a little light, I added the dumplings too. In the end, this combo was really great.

The side dishes served first
While waiting, the basic side dishes arrived first — neatly arranged cucumber, pickled radish, and danmuji (yellow pickled radish), along with a warm broth. That warm broth at milmyeon places is always kind of nice to have.
Sipping the warm broth before the food arrived settled my stomach, and it was good to sip in between bites of bibim milmyeon later too. Since milmyeon itself tends to be tangy and spicy, it paired well with palate-cleansing sides like danmuji and pickled radish.

How the large bibim milmyeon looked
After a short wait, the bibim milmyeon finally arrived. Plenty of noodles filled a big stainless steel bowl, topped generously with red mixed sauce — my appetite kicked in the moment I saw it. Even in photos, that sauce color is intense.
Underneath the bibim milmyeon there was meat and a boiled egg too. Ordering the large size meant a pretty generous portion of noodles. If you need a solid lunch before starting your Busan trip from the station, the large size seems like a good call.
Cutting the noodles with scissors and mixing them through
Scissors come with the milmyeon, so you can cut the noodles to your preference. The sauce is quite generous, so it's important to mix everything evenly at first.
After snipping the noodles a bit with the scissors, I mixed the sauce and noodles thoroughly from bottom to top, and the red sauce worked its way evenly through the noodles. It starts out as a deep red sauce sitting on top, but once mixed, the whole bowl turns an appetizing color.
Chewy noodles with a tangy-sweet, spicy sauce
One bite in and I thought, yeah, Busan really does mean milmyeon. The noodles were chewy yet went down smoothly, and the sauce coated them evenly so the flavors didn't feel separate.
The bibim sauce is tangy and sweet with a spicy kick at the end. It's not just spicy — the tangy-sweetness keeps you coming back for more. Eating it with the boiled egg and meat softens things a bit, and adding a bite of pickled radish now and then keeps things crisp and refreshing, resetting your palate.
Especially on a hot day while traveling around Busan, sometimes a cool, spicy bowl of milmyeon hits so much better than hot soup. This was exactly the dish for that.

Why the dumplings belong with the bibim milmyeon
The 10 dumplings I ordered alongside the bibim milmyeon also arrived. All 10 round dumplings came on one plate, and set next to the milmyeon, the whole spread looked pretty hearty. The dumpling skin wasn't too thick and the filling was just right, so they were tasty even dipped plain in soy sauce. Personally, though, I liked eating them together with the bibim milmyeon even more than eating them plain.
Dipping the dumplings in the bibim milmyeon sauce
After eating some of the milmyeon, I tried a dumpling dipped in the bibim milmyeon sauce. This combo works better than you'd think. After chewy, tangy-spicy noodles, a soft dumpling mellows out the heat a bit and changes the texture, so you just keep going.
Especially like in the photo, placing a dumpling on top of the bibim milmyeon and eating them together makes each bite so much fuller. Personally, I'd recommend ordering the dumplings alongside the milmyeon rather than just milmyeon alone.
The dwaeji gukbap menu at Yeongdong Milmyeon
I had bibim milmyeon that day, but dwaeji gukbap is also a main dish here. So if you prefer warm soup, dwaeji gukbap or sundae gukbap are good picks. With suyuk baekban and suyuk also on the menu, this place looks good not just for a solo lunch but for a heartier meal with a group.
Especially if you're visiting with friends new to Busan, having one person order milmyeon and another order dwaeji gukbap to share two of Busan's signature dishes seems like a great idea.
Why Yeongdong Milmyeon works for lunch near Busan Station
What I liked most after visiting in person was really the location. Being close to Busan Station made getting around easy, and the clean, spacious interior meant it wasn't a hassle to visit with luggage.
With milmyeon, gukbap, suyuk, dumplings and more on the menu, it's also nice for visiting with family or friends since everyone can order to their own taste. Especially if you have some awkward leftover time before a train at Busan Station and want lunch without traveling far, this could be a pretty convenient option.
Parking costs to know before you go
The building does have parking space, but when I visited, the sign at the entrance said no parking subsidy for Asti Hotel / commercial parking. So if you're driving, it's better to plan for paid parking rather than assume it's free.
The posted parking rate was ₩2,000 for the first 30 minutes and ₩2,000 for each additional 30 minutes, with a maximum fee noted as well, so I'd recommend double-checking the on-site parking rate before driving over. Given how close it is to Busan Station, it feels like an especially convenient spot for those using public transit or arriving by train.
If you want milmyeon near Busan Station
Milmyeon is one of those dishes you're bound to eat at least once on a Busan trip. Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch is close to Busan Station and convenient to reach, and since it sells dwaeji gukbap alongside milmyeon, it's also a good fit for group visits.
The large bibim milmyeon I had came in a generous portion, and the chewy noodles paired well with the tangy-sweet, spicy sauce. Adding dumplings on top made it even more filling. In particular, the combo of dipping dumplings in the bibim milmyeon sauce was good enough that I'd want to order it again next time.
If you're wondering what to eat for your first lunch after arriving at Busan Station, or want something simple but distinctly Busan before boarding the KTX, this place is worth a stop.
