Seongsu burger restaurant for pop-up tours: grilled shrimp at bd Burger
In short
bd Burger Seongsu Station Yeonmujang-gil Lunch & Dinner is a burger restaurant in Seongdong, Seoul. My daughter and I had wasabi shrimp, grilled shrimp, fried eggplant, and more before spending the day at Seongsu pop-ups. Verdict: a filling pre-pop-up meal, especially the grilled shrimp burger.

There are so many pop-ups in Seongsu-dong these days, right? I visited with my daughter planning to browse this and that on a Seongsu date, and I realized that if you're going to spend all day hopping between pop-ups, a filling meal is essential.
Seongsu has lots of pretty cafés and desserts, but when you wander around all day, you get hungry halfway through and your energy drops fast. So this time, before seriously starting our pop-up tour, we found a great burger spot near Seongsu Station and had a substantial meal. It turned out to be such a good choice.
After a really filling burger meal, I wasn't even thinking about other desserts. We could enjoy a packed day visiting pop-ups all around Seongsu-dong, from Olive Young Beauty to Olive Young N Seongsu and Manyo Factory.
bd Burger Seongsu Station Yeonmujang-gil: location and visit information

The place we visited was bd Burger Seongsu Station Yeonmujang-gil Lunch & Dinner (bd버거 성수역연무장길 점심저녁). It is on the second floor at 7 Seongsui-ro 14-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, about a six-minute walk from Seongsu Station, so it was easy to fit into a day around Seongsu-dong.
It is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., with last orders at 8:30 p.m. Parking is difficult, so if you are coming by car, it is best to use a nearby paid parking lot.
If, like us, you are planning a Seongsu date with your daughter and want to visit several pop-ups, public transportation seems convenient too. There are lots of pop-ups and showrooms around Yeonmujang-gil in particular, so it was nice to stroll around before or after eating.
The atmosphere and ordering system

Inside, it had a casual atmosphere built around gray tones with purple accents. It had that trendy yet relaxed Seongsu feel, so it did not feel at all awkward to visit with my daughter.

Each table has a tablet, so you can take your time looking through the menu and choose what you want. When the food is ready, a notification appears on the tablet and you pick it up yourself.
The self-service area had wet wipes and napkins, and drink refills were available too, so it was easy to get anything we needed while eating. They also had disposable plastic gloves for eating burgers neatly by hand. Burgers taste best when you hold them with your hands, haha, so these little details were definitely convenient.
Would the wasabi shrimp burger be spicy?

The item I was most excited about that day was the Wasabi Shrimp Burger. It costs ₩11,900 and is said to be bd Burger's signature menu. It had a thick, springy shrimp patty, and I loved that you could really feel shrimp's distinctive bite.

The shrimp patty did not feel overly finely minced, so the texture really came through when I bit into it. It comes with wasabi sauce and green mustard, and I was a little worried that the wasabi flavor might be too strong.
But the sharp kick was milder than expected and blended well with the savory flavors, so it was easy to eat. The shrimp patty, vegetables, and sauce worked together nicely, keeping it from becoming greasy and making it delicious to the end. So if you are looking for a burger near Seongsu Station, I especially recommend it to shrimp-burger fans.
If you pick just one, make it the grilled shrimp burger

Since I was visiting with my daughter, who loves shrimp burgers, we were curious about the other shrimp options too. The Grilled Shrimp Burger costs ₩12,900. The combination of whole shrimp you can really bite into and vegetables felt like this place's charm.
I also liked that it felt a little different from the chain burgers you see everywhere in Seongsu. Personally, if you like the springy texture of a shrimp patty or the bite of whole shrimp, I think you will be very satisfied with this one too. If you are planning to visit several Seongsu-dong pop-ups like we were, burgers felt like a very good choice for a filling meal before moving on.
Fried eggplant and butter garlic fries

The burgers alone are filling, but it feels a little sad to skip the sides, right? Among the things we tried, the side I especially want to recommend is the fried eggplant. It costs ₩7,500, with a crispy exterior and a soft interior that was really appealing.
It comes with chipotle sauce and ranch sauce, so you can enjoy different flavors depending on the sauce. The chipotle has a spicy edge, while the ranch is smooth and savory, so just dip according to your taste. Personally, it was one of the sides I enjoyed most with the burgers, and I really want to recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to eat in Seongsu.

Butter Garlic Fries are also available for ₩6,900, and they would be a nice addition if you love fries.

For drinks, we chose a milkshake. It was rich with milk flavor, smooth, and sweet. The condensed-milk flavor was so full that my first sip made me go, ahh, delicious! And with the burgers and sides together, it really became a complete meal.
A filling meal before touring Seongsu pop-ups

What pleased me most that day was that after eating a filling meal, we clearly had more energy left while walking around Seongsu-dong. Seongsu is not a place where you see just one pop-up and leave; the fun is moving from place to place and exploring.
After eating, my daughter and I visited all kinds of pop-ups, including Olive Young Beauty, Olive Young N Seongsu, and Manyo Factory. We did not get hungry again so quickly that we had to hunt down a café for dessert, either. If anything, the burgers were so filling that we were not especially hungry even after walking around all day.
So if you are planning a date in Seongsu-dong or a pop-up tour with a friend, I thought it might be a good idea to choose a substantial place for a meal first instead of looking for a pretty café or dessert right away.

Especially if you are looking for somewhere near Seongsu Station and want something as easy but filling as a burger, bd Burger is worth remembering. It is fairly close to Seongsu Station, so access is good, and it was easy to plan a route around the pop-ups near Yeonmujang-gil.
On this day out in Seongsu-dong with my daughter, visiting pop-ups all day, filling up on delicious burgers before we started made it feel like we were enjoying Seongsu as if we were traveling. If you are planning a Seongsu pop-up tour, I really recommend the route of having a satisfying meal at a burger spot near Seongsu Station and then exploring the pop-ups.
If I had to recommend just one menu item here, I would absolutely choose the Grilled Shrimp Burger. The owner was seriously passionate about shrimp.
