Anguk pasta restaurant for vongole and Caesar salad: Low Five Anguk
In short
Low Five Anguk is a pasta and pizza restaurant on Bukchon-ro, about 188m from Exit 2 of Anguk Station in Jongno, Seoul. We ordered vongole pasta, truffle cream pasta, a half-and-half pizza, and a classic Caesar salad, comparing oil versus cream pasta and using the salad to balance the heavier pizza. The menu is varied enough for group dining, though even weekdays get busy, so reservations are worth making.

The four dishes we ordered that day
What we ordered: vongole pasta, truffle cream pasta, half-and-half pizza, and classic Caesar salad!

Half & Half Pizza — corn + hot pepperoni
Ordering the pizza half-and-half lets you try the corn pizza and the hot pepperoni pizza at once. Great choice when you can't pick just one flavor haha. The corn pizza had a sweet, savory corn charm, and the hot pepperoni pizza had a definite spicy kick from the pepperoni plus olives, mushrooms, red onion, and jalapeño.

Classic Caesar Salad
The classic Caesar salad, with lemon, ranch dressing, and Reggiano, was great to eat between bites of pizza and pasta. The overall menu can feel heavy, but having the salad made everything finish much more cleanly.

Vongole Pasta and Truffle Cream Pasta
The vongole pasta, an oil pasta made with clams, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, and Reggiano, was clean-tasting yet full of umami. If you like oil pastas, this one will satisfy you! The truffle cream pasta adds grilled mushrooms and truffle aroma to a cream pasta. The soft, savory cream sauce carried a subtle truffle scent, and eating it alongside the vongole made the flavor difference really stand out — I liked that.

What I want to try next time
If you're looking for a good restaurant near Anguk Station or in Bukchon, I'd recommend this place! Next time I want to try the classic lasagna or the avocado kimchi fried rice. With such a varied menu, Low Five Anguk seems like a place that stays fun to revisit and try something new each time.
